Col of NOIDA, India October 24, 2009 We have purchased one refrigerator 190 litre and experienced immense problems with regards to the product. the complaints were lodged repeatedly and escalated to higher authorities as the piece was defective. it took LG electronics over 25 days for LG to gain some understanding of the problem. On 19th October 2009, we purchased a LG washing machine from NOIDA and again the piece was delivered with a defective timer. a complaint was lodged vide compaint number C-09A2300775. this complaint was attended by a service engineer from LG who advised us to use the machine in the current state. LG India has the worst consumer service and they disown the product and the buyer repeatedly after selling. There is no after sale service and no concept of quality, either in the product or in the service. We are senior citizens and had to live without a refrigerator for a month in Delhi's summer and now are facing harassment again due to a faulty product. LG executives do not answer phones and do not respond to consumer complaints about defective products. Since payments are made before delivery, the consumer is at the complete mercy of LG and they sure know how to harass. Cindy of Cedar Hill, MO October 24, 2009 Purchased an LG French door refrig/freezer. Casters on rolling bins cracked immediately. Ice build up in the no frost freezer and everything thaws! Got the ER FF code and contacted the online service number. Instructions to unplug and let it sit for an hour. A couple months later same thing all over again. Will Never buy any LG product again! David of atlanta, GA October 18, 2009 I bought this fridge about 4 years ago & now I get a ( ER FF) which is a code for a bad freezer fan. My old fridge I replaced never had a issue. Not very happy for the price I paid . David of Rio Rancho, NM October 16, 2009 We purchased an LG refrigerator in the fall of 2006 at Best Buy. We had never heard of LG before, but the salesman told us how great they were and since we had had our previous refrigerator/freezer for about 20 years without any problem, we were foolish to assume that our experience in the pass would be replicated in the future. It is three years later and our ice maker is being repaired, because of a poorly designed solenoid. and it looks like the service panel may have problems as well. So much for Best Buy and LG. Ron of Mocton, NB October 13, 2009 We purchased an LG refrigerater bottom freezer model in 2005. In 2008 the interior plastic started cracking and breaking in the fridge to the point where the interior shelves became unuseable. Local dealer was prety good to offer help (Future Shop)but LG when contacted refused to acknowledge that interior shelves falling apart after 3 -4 years is unacceptable. We have owned many refrigerators due to apartment units we own, and have never had a problem like this with amy of the other brands. LG flatly refuses to stand behind their product. We were not asking for full coverage, just a break on the part prices. Ryan of Pasadena, CA October 12, 2009 Paid over 2,000 for this refrigerator at Home Depot in January 2008. Complete failure in August 2009. Repairman came out and said the "control panel" was shot, and it would cost 550.00 to fix. LG was of no assistance when I called, and told me it was out of warranty. My wife and I are updating our appliances this year and were going to buy all LG but not after this. They are expensive to buy, expensive to fix, and do not last. Stay away from LG Gregory of Oakwood, GA October 9, 2009 Bad product. LG Refrigerator Model# LRFD21855ST. Do NOT buy LG refrigerators. We have had ours 4 years, and the ice maker has never worked properly. More problematic is the build-up of ice and frost in the freezer for the past year. My wife defrosts the freezer every month or so and a 1/2" of ice builds up in the bottom in a week. The temperature is set at -1, but my infrared digital thermometer reads 25 degrees in the freezer. The refrigerator is set to 38 degrees but is actually 46 degrees. It appears the internal fans are not working at all. I have read that repairs are up to 950 and may not cure the problem for long. I have totally disconnected the unit and will give it one last try tomorrow when I power it back on.....if it does not work, in the trash it will go after only 4 years. 2,000 from LG & Best Buy. John of Queen Creek, AZ October 6, 2009 Purchased this refer 7-15-07. Ice kept building up in ice bin and wateroverflowed into freezer compartment on several occasions. As items in freezer were not completely frozen at times, I increased the cold temp until it was as high as it could go. Today, 10-6-09 I decided that maybe it needed cleaning (vacuuming) in the coil area. When I pulled it away from the wall I noticed that the evaporative/cooling fan was not moving and the compressor was extremely hot. I proded the fan blade and it is now running but the compressor will not shut off even though I set the control for the lowest temp in refer and freezer. Service rep said that these things happen and the only thing I could do is call a service rep to come and look at it to see what has to be done to repair it. If the cost is exorbitant I will buy another one but NOT LG. Two years should not be a breakeown time frame for any major appliance. Debbie of vidor, TX September 29, 2009 I bought LG French door refrigerator Model LF25960ST and a dishwasher. Dishwasher has had two major repairs in 2 and one half years incliding relacing the motor, The refrigerator ice maker hasnt worked properly since day one. The interior shelving and drawers have hairline cracks throught the entire refrigerator and the bottom right hand drawer brke completely off of the track. These were high end product and I thought I was buying quality because they were beautiful and pricey. This is a substandard product and should be recalled. I will never buy LG again. The company is very uncooperative and once the purchase is made the repair costs pile up. Merle of Chattanooga, TN September 29, 2009 The ice maker on my LG side by side stopped working. The refrigerator is only 2 years old. Report Your Experience
