I had booked an Innova 8-seater. But the dealer (Nippon Toyota Nettoor, Ernakulum) gave the vehicle which was allotted to me to another customer without any information.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I purchased a complete set of Ultrex pots and pans by Innova from HSN for my daughter. Every item has become useless (coating peeled) through normal recommended use and care. HSN said, "Sorry, the company is out of business. The warranty is void." Innova is still in business. How can I get replacements?

I bought an Ultrex Pizza Maker distributed by Innova of Davenport, Iowa. The item suddenly stopped working. I have attempted to contact Innova but I keep getting hang ups or they do not return phone calls.

I received a full set of Innova cookware along with all documentation (a 75-year warranty). I still have all the documentation. Two of the pans never made past 6-7 years under normal wear and tear conditions. Like several people online (many reports on this site), Innova continues to be impossible to reach. Others report the same thing. I called the number on the warranty. It range once and hung up. I call the one of the website (given above), it goes to machine immediately. If you leave a message, nobody ever calls you back; I have tried leaving several.
Like others, I am frustrated. My understanding is that Consumer Affairs exist to protect consumers from getting screwed like this, to make business accountable to deliver on promises and warranties. I am not asking for the world here. As I mentioned, the pans were a gift from my mom several years ago. All I want is some accountability on the part of the business and either a new set of pans, or for my mom to get a full refund. Either way, accountability is most important. If business like Innova can go on Home Shopping Network and make promises like this, send out real written warranty information like I have and side accountability so easily, it sends the message to business everywhere that this is how business is (or can) be done. This is a problem.
My mom did not get her money's worth. This is Innova is establishing the precedent that this kind of behavior is fine and that they can get away with it, so soon many other businesses will offer (and renege) on warranties to boost sales (especially in these tough economic times when sales are particularly hard to generate). I am fine with an attorney contacting me, but I would think for this case/complaint, it should not be necessary. Consumer Affairs should be able contact Innova and pursue this without one. If they can't, something is really wrong here.
