The company offered a free energy audit. Since I did need doors and a roof, I agreed to the audit. During the sales pitch, I told the salesman that I didn't want to sign anything that night. At about 11:15PM, I figured the only way to get rid of him was to sign some paperwork. I did have three days to cancel, I checked with another contractor and was told that the prices were reasonable especially if I was getting fiberglass doors, which was what I told the salesman I wanted. What I received is metal. Someone called Jim who said he was the manager. He told me that the company does not even carry fiberglass. In addition, the insulation that was sold to me and installed, I was told it was top of the line. I've found out that it only has an R value of 13 to 19 and not suitable for attics.

The roof they installed leaked after 3 days. The company said that with no pictures, they will not cover any damages. I don't own a camera and while they fix the leak, I doubt they installed the type of roof the salesman described, a 3-part roof. The paperwork that the company insisted I sign was not filled in describing the roofing materials. Even though I told the company the hours I would be home, the roof was installed while I was not there. When I did get home, the roofers were gone. The company called telling me that they needed to have some papers signed. I told them that I would be back at work. They had the roofer come to my place of work, an elementary school. I could only spare about 5 minutes and unfortunately, ended up signing papers not completely filled in.
