I had a GE dishwasher since 2004 and it was great, but now it had to be replaced. I bought a stainless steel one thinking it would be so much better. Spent a fortune. Dishes were wet and spotted. Called GE sent a tech out. Appt 8-12. Had to take off work. Showed up 4:00. Now how to take off the whole day. Just got the dishwasher, the heating coil was broken. 1st he had the replacement, then he didn't. Had to order the part and I had to take off again, Hand washing dishes the whole time. Then water and soap were still in the bottom, dishes wet and spotted. Called for the 3rd time. Tech came out, asked for vinegar. Put it in the washer and left. I called again to complain and was told that when you buy the dishwasher it only covers techs to come out to work on the machine for 1 year, no replacement no returns! I have only had it maybe 3 months. My whole house has GE appliances, I will never buy from them again!

I have had this GE Monogram zbd0710n00ss since 2008. It has had the touch control strip replaced once and I have replaced rusted screws and the roller wheels for the racks myself. Right now the soap container lid is touchy on closing. Overall since it is 18 years old and still works I have to give it 5 stars. But it has never cleaned the dishes all that well unless it runs on the pots and pans cycle. It is very quiet. I am looking for a new one now so I came here to read reviews.

This has got to be the most expensive piece of garbage I have bought. GE service reps are terrible. They keep telling me it drains and is working properly when it is clearly not. It’s cheap plastic and I will never buy GE appliances again. It also shared it has a hiking, biking, etc. water bottle rinse, but you can’t even fit your water bottles in the specific space. Definitely not designed by anyone of care or brilliance.

With my GE Dishwasher I have the choice of washing the dishes before I load it or washing them after it finishes. It never removes soup or cereal bits left in the bowl. Forget trying to get glasses clean. Lip marks remain. Also, the dishes are still wet when it finishes. It's a terrible dishwasher.

Do Not Buy GE dishwashers. The one I bought dried the dishes but left the inside dripping wet so much so the water would roll off onto the wood floor when opening the door. Also happens with stainless steel tubs to a lesser degree I was told. I thought I was buying a stainless-steel tub, but it was only stainless steel on the inside door the rest is plastic and it never air dries. I have to dry out after each use because it is dripping wet. All the machines are made this way because the government wants to bring the energy level down. Do not raise your home water temperature if the GE repair guy suggests this option because it will invalidate PEXA pipe warranties. GE would not take back the machine because the computer said it was working yet there is something very wrong about the design of this product and I cannot use it. I will be doing all my dishes by hand from now on.

I have read the other reviews and agree with most. We bought a GE Profile, although it about 7 years old, I can't replace the slider tracks for the top shelf.... DISCONTINUED! That's crap. It's a basic slide track that is used in thousands of items including office drawers, home drawers, cabinets etc. So is what they are saying is "Buy a new dishwasher when a $15 or $30 part fails." We'll, I will buy a new one but it won't be GE.

I purchased a "top of the line" GE dishwasher 3 1/2 years ago. It cost over $1,200. During the first year, the control panel broke and GE replaced it at no cost for parts and labor. Two years afterward, GE has confirmed that the second control panel no longer works. GE wants to charge me for the labor and parts (about $475). I explained to the GE representative that GE already replaced the control panel once and to please cover the cost of labor and parts. GE has refused to repair the dishwasher. If Consumer Affairs can do anything to assist me with GE fixing the dishwasher, I will truly appreciate it.

My GE dishwasher stopped working after minimal use, and this is frustrating—after buying something, it shouldn’t fail within just two or three years. The product lacks durability. I would avoid GE appliances at all costs; their customer service is horrendous—Nicole acted like I had used her own money to buy it, belittling me over the phone instead of helping. I can’t wait to get rid of all my GE appliances. 0 ratings average low due to short lifespans and unhelpful repairs.

My Worst decision I have ever made was to purchase a GE Dishwasher Product. The Name sounds great, GE® ENERGY STAR® Fingerprint Resistant Front Control Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Interior is by far the worse Product I have ever purchased. I have heard from employees at Home Depot that since GE has farmed out their manufacturing to Mexico, their product made poorly and are now made to last just over a year (at best) so that it can void any warranty you may have. This product has never worked well at all, and when I called for service several times in the first year, Several parts were replaced. Then I was told by the technician that after his "FIX" it would get better. It didn't.

Now his statement made me willing to be talked into waiting past the 1 year Warranty. Now GE claims they will not Warrant the product at all. This should be illegal, to have service people fool you into being taken by bad Manufacturers. I was duped and bought a product that is going to the junkyard in just over a year of attempted use. NEVER EVER BUY GE PRODUCTS. THEY NOW ONLY BUILD JUNK.

This GE dishwasher from Costco broke after 2 years and very little usage, about once a week. Last March I paid $225 to replace the water pump, and now it broke again after 8 months. A cheap piece of crap, never again.

You can clearly see that this has been an ongoing issue for many customers, as is evident on their own website, and yet GE fails to protect their brand by not caring about their customers complaints. On their own website there are many customers complaining about the lower spray arm melting and even the “new” replacement part melting as well. They need to find a solution for this problem and make it right.

Inherited a GE dishwasher when we bought the house. Approx. 5 years old or less. It kept making strange beeping hours at all hours before it just up and died. Repair service explained the 2 of the 3 main parts for this dishwasher were discontinued by GE and replaced with other parts. The one part we needed to fix it doesn't exist anymore, so the dishwasher is headed is to the scrap heap. There's no way I'll ever buy a GE product.

Terrible Experience with Teknoton: GE Dishwasher Service Nightmare I recently moved into a brand-new home built by Taylor Morrison, complete with all new GE appliances, including a dishwasher that was supposed to be top-of-the-line. From day one, the dishwasher has been completely non-functional—leaking water, failing to drain... It's under full warranty, yet resolving this has been an absolute disaster thanks to Teknoton, GE's authorized service provider. We've had three separate service calls from Teknoton technicians over the past few months, and each time, they've left without fixing the issue. The first visit: they "inspected" it and said it needed a part. Weeks later, the second call: part installed, but it still didn't work. Third call: more poking around, vague promises, and zero resolution. Their techs seem undertrained or just uninterested, and follow-up communication is nonexistent. Every time I call, they act like it's the first they've heard of it

Purchased a "super quiet" GE Profile dishwasher along with 3 other GE appliances 6 months ago. It became evident quickly that the dishwasher frequently left food particles on the dishes, even if they were rinsed first. Had the technician come out who said the unit was working as intended, and that dishwashers in general had de lined in manufacturing quality. Now, chunks of black material are falling out of the bottom of the door. Turns out this is sound proofing insulation. The door panel now has to be replaced, thankfully under warranty. Am so disappointed - GE was always considered so reliable. This is the first set of new appliances I have ever had, and I'm over 70!

I am waiting for my 4th Cafe Dishwasher. The first one was delivered with a broken door. Did not install. Picked up and replaced. The second one was delivered with a torqued body so the door did not shut properly. Did not install. Picked up and replaced. The third one was installed and steam escapes and forms condensation underneath the counter top. Then drips onto the control pad and then drips down the door when opened. GE opted to replace it after a service call adding a new seal and inner door panel did not solve the problem. I still have this one and I am waiting for the new one to be installed. It actually runs well and does a good job cleaning the dishes, but the door leak creates the condensation. I have read other reviews with this same problem.

The fourth one was a being picked up at the appliance warehouse today by the installer and he declined to take it due to the door being bent. They are bringing in a new one. He said he sees a lot of damage on GE appliances across the board. GE needs to improve their packing of their products and invest in better logistics. Really confusing how they absorb the loss of 3 dishwashers so far. They do have good service Techs who are very knowledgeable and who have been to my house 4 times already for this dishwasher situation, but they were all unfixable problems in the field.

I would highly recommend buying other brands only for the damage issues. Why have the Hassle! Luckily I did not pay for this dishwasher yet. Might be buying a Bosch if this fourth one turns out bad. I also bought a refrigerator and 6 burner duel fuel oven and they seem to be working OK. All only in use for 3 months so far. I would give it no stars but I had to pick one.

Since it’s founding as the Edison Electric Light Company in 1878, GE has been a household name in appliances. The company's innovation keeps it at the forefront of home design with smart products and integrated technologies.

      • Compact built-ins available: Where most dishwashers are 24 inches, GE offers a more compact size, at only 18 inches, which is great for small kitchens and apartments.

      • Front or top controls: Depending on your countertops, you might not be able to easily use top controls on a dishwasher, so having the option of top or front controls makes finding the right machine easier.

      • Portable dishwashers: GE's portable options allow you to get a dishwasher that you can take with you if you move. Also, with these dishwashers you don’t need a plumber to install it.

      • Under-sink installations: To keep storage loss to a minimum, GE manufactures dishwashers that you can install directly under a sink or a cooktop.

      • Guided tour to GE dishwashers: Use easy-to-navigate website resources to learn the pros and cons of each style so you can choose the one that works best for you.
