GE Ice Dispensers Serve Up More Than Ice

Rhonda of Mesa, AZ: I purchased a brand new GE washing machine. I had 3 items ruined through the washing processor. GE sent a technician to my home and he stated that there was nothing wrong with the washing machine, it was a matter of design.

The technician stated that since 1995 GE makes the outer ring of the tub stationary. My items that were ruined caught onto the stationary ring during the spin cycle and were torn apart. The friction burn caused material from the items to be caked onto that outer ring.

I now have items worth approx. $200 which GE will not compensate me for be cause there is not a "DEFECT" with the machine. I have spent hours on the phone being transfered to many different GE representative only to be told there is nothing they can do.
