Who to Contact at Electrolux/Frigidaire

Frigidaire, now owned by Electrolux, is one of the oldest brand names in home appliances but that doesn't necessarily mean it's one of the most reliable, as the complaints in this section attest.

I PURCHASE THIS HOUSE IN August/08 and all the appliances comes in the package. The frigidare gas stove look like almost new . On 11/12/08 was the first time we used the oven to bake a cake ,and we smell a slight something the first time we put the cake in the oven ,but thinking that maybe its new it could be a little paint smell or so.about 15mins after we finish baking and turn off the oven the corbon monoxide dector came on loud ,

we had to call 911 and the fire crew came and found a lot of carbon in the house and we had to evacuate the house they turn off the gas line and they took us to the emergency because my 16 years old son had a head-ach .Then later keyspan gas came to investigate and found when the oven is turn on the carbon is built up .so they turn off the gas stove completed .but this stove could have been a silent killer from giving out carbon .and alos i have another frigidare stove in my next apartment

had to evacuate my house late in the night ,and rush to the emergency . if my corbon monoxide dector was not working what would the result be ,very sad .

Mary of Bear DE (11/16/08)
I purchased all new Frigidaire appliances 3 years ago from Boscov's Dept. Store. About 2 years ago, the heating element melted in my stove, which they did send me a replacement one a no charge. However, I have been afriad to bake in it too oftenr, so the oven has been rarely used. Recently, when I went to turn it on, I noticed the electronic panel was beeping, and couldn't get anything to work on it. When I called and questioned them about it, I was told I had to buy a new panel that cost about 170.

This stove is only 3 years old and has been rarely used. I can't express enough how digusted I am. I am a widow on a limited income, so I don't have extra to get that part, and I shouldn't even have to replace it at this time.

Today's prodeucts can't even begin to compare to the old ones. Plastic, plastic, everywhere. The dryer turn on switch cracked, so I had to call and get one of them. Luckily, that was on 10. Any help someone could give me regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. I went out and all the new stoves have that electronic board on them. I refuse to buy another.

I am a widow on a limited income, so when you buy all new applicances only 3 years ago, you don't expect to have 2 problems with the stove so soon. Thank you.

We purchased a Frigidaire Washer in March of 2007. Probably within a years time we noticed mold growing in the bellows boot at the glass door. This disgusting stuff is uncleanable, and only gets bigger by the month. No matter what you do to clean it, it NEVER DIES!

Machine: 500 Bellows Kit 120.00 Id be money ahead if I just take the loss and scrap this junk machine and buy a better designed product!

Steven of Powder Springs GA (11/15/08)
We purchased a Fridgidaire dryer, #FEQB4000FS0 in March of 2007. After a few months, we found many of our clothing items torn or completely broken apart, and stuck between the drum and front face assembly. I inspected the unit and found that ther was a considerable gap between the drum and front face, and that the drum was sagging downward, creating a very large gap on the bottom by the lint filter. As the clothes fell to the bottom, the thinner more delicate pieces would fall between this large gap and would then get drawn back up towards the top of the drum and get stuck. After several minutes of this clothing torture, the piece would break or become terribly damaged. We had an authorized service tech. He replaced the felt bearing strip on the first try.

Came out a second time and replaced it again, and then ordered a front face assembly (front face/door/lintfilter) After the third time, he replaced the front face assembly, the problem seemed to go away. Unfortunately this was not the case and at times, we still loose pieces of our clothing. We have made efforts to hang dry delicate items, and nylon bag others, but the problem still exists.

Lost hundreds of dollars in clothing, bras, lingerie, etc. Frigidaire will not recognize the personal financial loss. I will never buy another Frigidaire product again!

Miguel of Miami, FL November 14, 2008

Miguel of Miami FL (11/14/08)
I purchased a complete kitchen set of appliances from Frigidaire, on 7/06/2008. According to the rebate form I was entitled to a 300 rebate for my purchase but never received it. I sent the rebate form, receipts, and proof of purchase just days after receiving my appliances. On 11/13/2008, I called Customer Support to find out about my rebate and was told the offer had expired and there was nothing that could be done. When the customer support rep explained he would need to transfer me to a supervisor I was simply hung up on. Please ovoid Frigidaire, their products are not all that great and it's not worth the head aches.
