Who to Contact at Electrolux/Frigidaire

Frigidaire, now owned by Electrolux, is one of the oldest brand names in home appliances but that doesn't necessarily mean it's one of the most reliable, as the complaints in this section attest.

Some unlucky souls have trouble with multiple Frigidaire appliances, like those below:

We bought a dishwasher frigidaire energy star. the first week it leaked. they replaced it with an upgraded model fdb2415lfb. this one leaked after a month, they came and replaced the seal, now 11 months later its leaking again. they came to repair and said it needed a special kit because this model had a known problem.

My question is why werent we told it was a recall! they said nothing. it was not a recall that they just knew about .Here is the problem we were ten days from the end of warranty! they were waiting for us to call knowing all along there was a problem with the machine! Now we have to wait for them to order the kit and come back again!

This machine has apparenety been leaking the entire time on the new floor we installed.

We built our home in 2000, and decided to use all Frigidaire appliances. I loved the Frigidaire stove, and decided to use the same brand throughout the home. We began having problems with the appliances except for the stove almost immediately. However, this was the second stove; we had to return the first because it did not work.

We had service done on all items, and the same problem started within a few months. Our dishwasher stopped working, the refrigerator is always leaking, the dryer goes out frequently and leaves burn marks on the clothes. We will never buy frigidaire again, and we are remodeling, so we plan to replace all appliances within a year.

We built a new home about 2 1/2 years ago and bought Fridgidaire refrigerator and dishwasher. Our problems began immediately when the dishwasher was defective and would not run at all. The installer said it looked like a bad circuit board so we returned it to the store for replacement. Since it had never been used, they agreed. Then, about a week later, our refrigerator stopped working. All of the food was ruined and the repair man replaced some kind of sensor under warranty. the cost of the food was not covered though. This was a bad start to our new appliances but we hoped for the best.

Fast forward two years and the dishwasher is terrible. It only cleans the dishes if you wash them BEFORE you put them in and take 95 minutes to do this! Now, the sprayer for the top rack has fallen off and will not stay on. I am about ready to junk this and buy a GE. On top of all of this, our refrigerator also failed. this time, the door mounted water dispenser broke. Why they would engineer the main part that gets pressed for water out of cheap plastic is beyond me. I checked and the newer model has a different design. I guess they learned from all of the failures. Kind of leave those who paid good money for Fridigaire appliances out in the cold though. I get the opportunity to hire a repair man to come out and replace a faulty part that most likely will fail again.

I would be very impressed if someone from Fridigaire called me or contacted me and offered some kind of extended warranty or help with these repairs. I know things like this happen and I am more impressed with the service after the sale than any problems that may arise. If someone doesn't contact me, I guess I will eventually dump these appliances and recommend to others to never buy Fridigaire products.

First of all you call the 800 number that's on your owner's guide. No human at all.It tells you to call another number that is NOT toll free. The first person I talked to, put me on hold.Said she needed to get someone that new something about my dehumidifier that was having problems.I hanged up after 5 minutes. The second time was a little better, but knows about the products they are selling......

After a flood in basement,It would be good if the dehumidifier(frigidaire fdf70s1),that you bought only 6 months ago ,would work......

I bought a dishwasher from lowes on 7/11/2007. everything was fine until may of 2008. Dishwasher started making a thumping noise and wouldn't fill with water. I called frigidaire and they gave me a number to call for repair. The repair person came out on 6/2/2008.She replaced the keypad and that didn't work. She came out 6more times during this year and still couldn't fix it. The motor was changed and the panel was changed.

The dishwasher still doesn't work. The repair person put in a order for a replacement dishwasher and frigidaire denied the replacement. At first they wanted me to buy a new one and they would give me a discount and when i refused, the then offered to give me another number for repair but i have to pay for it. All i want is my dishwasher fixed. I have a dishwasher that hasn't been used in 7 months.

The economical damage is that we spent hard earned money on a product that we can't use and cannot afford a replacement.
