Who to Contact at Electrolux/Frigidaire

Frigidaire, now owned by Electrolux, is one of the oldest brand names in home appliances but that doesn't necessarily mean it's one of the most reliable, as the complaints in this section attest.

Electrolux has provided us with the email address of an escalation specialist who promises to try to solve some of the more pressing complaints.

Some unlucky souls have trouble with multiple Frigidaire appliances, like those below:

Kerry of Littlerock, CA April 18, 2009

Kerry of Littlerock CA (04/18/09)
I purchased a Frigidaire built in double oven in March of 2008. In December of 2008 the hinges needed replacement. When the oven heated up, the door would not open. In April of 2009, same problem happened again. Had the extended warranty service company come out this time and they just pounded on the hinges and were quite rude THIS OVEN IS A LEMON I paid 900 plus 100 for extended warranty...NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AT All

There is other complaints posted about this same problem on your internet site...we are not the only people having this problem with the same product...maybe they should refund our money...how many times will they need to come out to fix it before they replacement it with something better

Marvin of Chicago, IL April 6, 2009

purchased a refrigerator in aug 2005 and the freon leaked out. We had a repair man replace the freon and it is still not working we are very disappointed that it is only four years old and not functional

Leslie of Port Charlotte, FL April 3, 2009

Leslie of Port Charlotte FL (04/03/09)
My Fridgidaire Affinity front load washer and dryer have been nothing but problems! There is black mold on the bottom of the washer and I can't get it all out. Now the computer board has gone out on the washer and the dryer board says that a buttom is stuck and it only dry for a few seconds to minutes at a time before shutting off. They are only 2 years old. I can't afford to fix them or buy new ones. It looks like I shouldn't put in money into them after reading all of the problems other people have had. What a rip off!

I don't have the money to fix them or buy new ones. These should not be broken!

Gayle of Dayton, TN March 27, 2009

Gayle of Dayton TN (03/27/09)
I bought a Frigidaire dishwasher, refrigerator, and stackable washer&dryer. And it was the biggest waste of money ever. Frigidaire was a good product back in the day, but they suck now. All 3 products bought are falling apart. I have only had these products for 7 years.

Dishwasher is stainless--it's rusting. Refrigerator--Freezer door seal pulling apart, door handle falling off, screws fell out. Dryer-snags all clothes and puts burnt marks on clothes.

Jeffrey of West Hills, CA March 16, 2009

Jeffrey of West Hills CA (03/16/09)
I purchased a matching Frigidaire Gallery Washer/Dryer set (GLTF2940FS & GLGQ2152ES). The washer is white and the the dryer is almost beige. The retailer replaced the first dryer and did not check the color of the 2nd dryer. It turned out to be the same off color as the first. Frigidaire will not accept responsibility for the problem and will not authorize sending a correct matching white dryer. They did offer to take back the second dryer and refund the original cost. They suggested buying a replacement at a local retailer & They agreed to pay for the third installation.

The local replacement will cost over 200 more than my original on-line purchase and there is no way to verify I will get the correct color from the local dealer. I have pictures of the washer/dryer that clearly show the problem. Frigidaire's web site clearly states matching for these products.
