I am buying a house in Atlanta, GA 30331. Today was supposed to close at 1PM. My real estate agent, listing agent and I sat in the offices of Fearnley Price LLC for approximately four and a half hours, waiting to close the deal. The deal did not close. The closing attorney was Robert ** and although very helpful, the deal still did not close. The pre-closer was Crystal **, she did a horrible job. She did not have the internet to check on the Home Owners Associations status for the house, so I had to look it up for her. Ms. ** also has a very bad and nasty attitude when it comes to dealing with the public. She did not check on the water bill of the previous owner so now, my house that I have already paid thirty thousand dollars cash is in limbo.
Ronnel ** came in the closing room at five thirty to inform us that the house could not close because the field service manager needs to look into the water bill that was supposed to have been included in a previous owner's bankruptcy. This was to have happened in 2008, three years ago. I have already given my notice at my apartment and have to vacate by the 29th of this month (April 2011). There seems to be no regard for the fact that I have done everything that HUD had asked me to do. I have paid the cash money for the property. Why is it that HUD cannot do what needs to be done so that I can move into my home? This is very frustrating to me because today, I had to pay for someone to pick up my husband from his dialysis center because I was still at the closing table at 4:30PM. I would really like to have some answers.
