My home was built in 2000 by a large national builder who used the lowest cost windows and sliding doors they could find for the home. With energy costs rising, we decided we wanted more substantial energy saving windows and doors. We contacted FAS because we had heard of their good reputation. They did a great job of helping us select the best windows for the application. They even had to have a special large window designed to fit one opening. The installation crew was terrific and very accommodating to our wishes. I would definitely recommend FAS!
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

On January 21, I signed a contract with FAS salesman Dave **. He promised us that the windows and patio door would be in by the end of February. The end of February came and went. It is now the end of March and still no windows. I do have the door that was finally installed on 3/22/12 but I had to ask that the door be installed. FAS was going to wait for the windows to arrive before the door would be installed.
This company seems to make promises just to make sales. They tell me they can't control when the company delivers the product. That's understandable. However, they like to tell me the windows will be in and then make an excuse that it's the manufacturers fault when the delivery date they gave me falls through time after time. I have one window that is an odd shape and they keep telling me it's this window that's causing the delay. Give me the rest of the windows and I'll wait for the odd window to be installed. FAS doesn't want to keep their customer happy, they just want to do what is convenient for them. How hard would it be to contact the manufacturer and tell them to send the other windows?
FAS keeps telling me they sent me e-mails but the only emails I receive are replies to mail that I sent first. I told them to call me from now on. Let's see what happens. My last e-mail was copied to John ** and I never heard from him. It seems he only cares when someone puts something on the internet so I guess I'll finally hear from him...but maybe not...who knows? I will say that I have nothing but glowing praise for the installers. They were wonderful - too bad they are subcontracted by FAS. They would be excellent employees for such a lousy company.

Before I provide my rebuttal to this customer's review of FAS Windows & Doors, I wanted to make the readers aware that this customer is simply trying to slander, and ruin our organization. The other reviews he has posted on the internet, are all under different user names, therefore making it look like our business has multiple complaints, which it does not. FAS Windows & Doors' name has become synonymous with providing, consistent, quality work, and it is disappointing that this consumer wants to ruin the reputation, that has taken us years to earn.
Below is my rebuttal and explanation of the entire transaction between FAS Windows & Doors and "Jim of Winter Park". This is a response to "Jim of Winter Park's" less than accurate description of his experience with FAS Windows & Doors. FAS Windows & Doors has not lied, nor has been dishonest with Jim in any way. In fact, Jim of Winter Park has 4 windows installed in his house, without paying a penny towards his balance. The truth is, there was an ordering error that occurred, due to a communication mix up with the sales rep and Jim of Winter Park. Mistakes happen, and when they do FAS Windows & Doors will always make the situation right, unfortunately, Jim of Winter Park decided not to pay anything toward his balance, and never gave us the opportunity to correct our mistakes.
Jim mentioned that the Winter Park inspector, flunked FAS Windows & Doors window installation. This was true, but it was because the inspector couldn't enter the premises, to inspect the windows, not due to bad product or improper installation. The inspector was sent back to Jim's property, and the window inspection passed on 12/21/2009, without issue. Jim of Winter Park stopped communicating with us on November 6th of 2009, when he stated that he was going to walk away, and leave things how they are, unfortunately, that meant that the job was not complete, and not paid for. This communication is the first we've heard from Jim since November 2009.
As the situation stands now, FAS Windows & Doors will be more than happy to install the remaining sashes, collect our money, satisfy the lien, and move on. FAS Windows & Doors was taken advantage of, and now slandered online by this customer. The economic damages resulted from the fact that we have not been paid anything on the job. We would like to resolve the issues, collect our money, satisfy the lien, and move one. I would also like this customer to stop giving our organization a bad name on the internet, as he is damaging our marketing.

FAS Windows and Doors are not the way to go to replace windows if you want your order to be right the first time with good installation. I ordered 4 Wincore tempered low E glass windows from FAS. They did not deliver what I ordered. They installed the wrong windows then refused to fix the problem and wanted full payment for the botched job. After much agonizing negotiations, they finally said to keep the windows without paying or warranty because the windows had failed city inspection. However, they then reneged on that deal and filed a construction lien! Whatever you do, do not use this company, they are not honest nor competent.
