I just spent $250 fixing a relatively new dishwasher because I used liquid dishwashing detergent and over time, they clog the pump and filter.
The dishwasher stopped working and we had to get it repaired. I'm really outraged that these companies (Cascade, Palmolive, etc.) knowing their liquid dishwasher detergents are clay-based and cause this type of damage still make and sell these products to make money. I spoke with several dishwasher repairmen and they said that this is the No. 1 reason for dishwasher repairs.Could be. We don't have any authoritative information on this.
