We have had a number of problems with our hot tub/spa; the pump system had to be replaced 8 months after we bought the tub, the extra features: stereo and lights are ongoing problems and it looks like hell because of the warped siding.

The most recent problem has been going on for more than a year with no attempt to correct it. The LED lights and sauna light have stopped working. I asked for this to repaired more than a year ago and yes a work order was filed, I have checked back a number of times. Some of the excuses are: I ordered the wrong lighting box, I've re ordered you the right one;

I will send someone out today; We received the wrong lighting box, and I've re ordered you the right one; I can't believe no one got back to you yet, are you still waiting; and now today, I bought 115.18 worth of chemicals, no problem taking my money (again), and again I asked what is taking so long with my repair, again a promise to have the owner of Dalron, Dallas M, come out to my house today and have a look and see.

I was home waiting all day, when I called to find out where he was, I was assured that he had been there already, and now they were ordering a light box (again), because the one they have in stock isn't compatible, same story again. It is impossible for me to miss him coming to my house, my dog barks at everything, the door was open to the hot tub all afternoon, and I was in the house all day. The secretary I spoke to when I called the business, said she would have him call me right back, Mr Martin never called back, she did.

She confirmed that I was indeed correct, no he hadn't come out of my house. They lied to me about him having come. The owner, Mr. M wouldn't even talk to me. I did ask if he was afraid to talk to me. I am a very patient person, and I treat people with respect and kindness but when I find out I have been lied too, obviously repeatedly, I found my breaking point. I have finally lost my cool, this is a huge insult to be lied too; repeatedly lied to in my opinion is absolutely unforgivable. I have given Mr. M to Monday, April 12th by 9:30 am to have the owner here and a satisfactory repair done.

This has brought a huge red flag to the other problems. Stereo problem we had when we first bought the hot tub, it stopped working, the speakers were replaced but we were told that there was no way of fixing the actual stereo component, and we should just scrap it because they aren't in the business of stereos. No one ever made an attempt to give us satisfaction.

The siding on the tub has buckled another thing, they will not take responsibility for, because we live in BC, hell they sell them in BC. The lid arms have both broke and had to be replaced again because we live in BC.

Do I think I'll get satisfaction? I better or all who will listen will hear about Dalron's business and warranty service practices and what an unacceptable product Cal Spa's are. I didn't know about this site and sure would have posted my displeasure as soon as possible had I known. The Better Business Bureau Canada, complaints is my next stop, possibly a poor report card could make a bit of difference for some others when shopping for a spa or pool in the Comox Valley.
