Bunn-O-Matic

Sheryl of Blanchard, ID September 12, 2009

This is our third or fourth Bunn Coffeemaker that leaks. Wonderful coffee, but leaks water all over the counter. Bunn needs to deal with this problem since its apparent I am not the only one experiencing this problem. I would almost bet they are not made in the USA any longer.

These coffeemakers are not cheap. They are among the more expensive machines. The cost of replacing it time after time, and after just a couple years is prohibitive.

Debra of Hardinsburg, KY September 2, 2009

A few years ago Bunn had a recall on their coffee maker. I put the part on that they needed to prevent fire or something along that line. I now have a water leak. I noticed the other complaints coming from consumers and wanted to report mine. A friend also is having the same problem, and contacted Bunn-O-Matic. They told her they would replace the coffee maker for 67.00 (I believe that is the correct amount). My question is if everyone is having this problem, why is Bunn-O-Matic not being held responsible for their product? I am going to look elsewhere if they cannot stand behind their product.

I have been a loyal Bunn fan for more than 20 years . A few years back there was a recall on the model that I owned. So my daughter went on-line to help me get it replaced. I decided to upgrade to a better model and paid half price for doind=g so. After about a year it began to leak. Leaking so bad at this point I cant even read the serial numbert on the bottom of it. I have contacted Bunn and hopefully have goood results from doing so. All though from one of their sites it doesnt look promising. If they cannot stand behind their product and do what is right I will be looking for a company that will. And will no longer recommmend them to friends, or family. Instead I will be sure to tell them exactly what kind of product and support they will get for their hard earned cash!

Okay, I had a Bunn coffee maker that was as old as the hills and it worked GREAT for well over 15 years. My friend loved it so much, that I decided to give that one to her and get a brand new one, just because. And it was on ME. My new Bunn, a PourOmatic, was [bad]. Gone was the quality that I had in my old one.

This "new" one started leaking in less than a year, and twice I rigged a new seal on it to get it to stop leaking. Had to. Bunn couldn't do anything about it. Now it is leaking again.

I had been one of Bunn coffee machines greatest fans and recommended them to EVERYONE! Now, on the other hand, I will be choosing a new brand that does not have SO many issues and one that has excellent customer service. Bunn, shame on you for trying to pass off cheap [product] to your loyal fans.

I am complaining about the leaking bunn coffee makers. I am on my third one, and my daughter's that I gave them is leaking. I gave away one leaky one, tossed another. I have a new one now because I like Bunn, but I think I will consider another brand if this one starts leaking. In the meantime what can we do about my dughter's Bunn to get it repaired?

Bonnie of Faribault, MN June 4, 2009

I bought my first Bunn coffee maker in the early 90's. It lasted for over 15 years. I thought it was a great coffee pot and well worth the 100 price tag. My kids decided I needed a new one as mine occasionally leaked. So, for Christmas 2007 they bought me a new one. It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to get a pot of coffee. And, it is a crap shoot whether you get a 1/2 pot or a full pot. This company has really gone down hill and should get out of the business. You are better off buying a 10 cheap coffee maker knowing it won't last long. Ha!

Alan of Tiffin, OH May 4, 2009

I have bought three bunn coffee makers In the last week one from maijer store in findly ohio and two from lowes. thay all do the same thing. thay leek all over the counter and coffee grounds go into the pot and all over the counter. my wife loves the coffee maker but if cant get us one that works we will be forst to go with anuther brand and I will make sure I post a bad revew on every web site I can find

This is our 4th and final Bunn coffee maker. See all of the above complaints and we have experienced the same problems with our last one. Water leaking all over with each use, a full pot into the tank and a 1/2 pot out because the rest has leaked all over my counter top. I found out by contacting the Bunn website that this pot is also a fire hazard...no knowledge of this prior to contacting them about the leakage. Bunn does not seem concerned about customer satisfaction and appears to be getting away with selling a sub-standard product for the past few years.I am wondering if they will be the next business to fail due to charging customers for a product that does not perform as advertised.

Water leakage with each use...not notified about the recall and associated fire hazard with this pot.
