Bob writes (5/19/03): Just wanted to share with you that the current PS2 issue isn't Sony's first.

We, among thousands of others, bought an original PS1 at the 1995 launch. Most of these units were as the ones you described, and stopped reading discs in less than 1 year.

Sony did nothing for customers except to offer repairs at outrageous prices.

Please have the attorneys go for Sony's throat. They don't learn, produce garbage over again, and won't step up to the plate to assist their customers.
