I have the TY LA1000 bulb in my panasonic tv--the one that is in the class action lawsuit for 4 of panasonic's tvs--but not mine-- model number pt-52lcx65. just joining in on the complaint issue of the short life of the bulb--284 to replace after just over 2 years. Customer service was just a goat rodeo--back and forth between groups, told wrong info, sent to different departments--I've got 5 different toll-free numbers to call--and not sure which goes where--and i don't think panasonic knows either...

I'm out 300.

Puchased television model # PT50LC13 in August, 2005, right now we cannot watch it for the fourth time, because of the lamp defect, which causes the lamp to burn out. This will be fourth lamp in the television since we purchased it. At this time, 300 for a lamp is not available.

We couldn't get in the class action lawsuit because the lamp didn't blow before Nov. 2007. Panasonic, when I've made over 4 phone calls, is not budging at all to send a lamp (comp), or compensate in any way, as matter of fact, they have been absolutely nasty when I approached about requesting for some type of compensation. They continue to want to transfer to me to the parts department to order a new lamp (which I have to pay for). I'm very upset, and have a television that I paid 1700, that is a piece of junk, can't be watched, unless I pay over 300 (285.95 for the lamp and S/H).

We can't watch television, which I might add, am wasting money with my satellite provider, for HDTV, because this is the only television in the house that is a HDTV. I either want Panasonic to stand behind their product for victims who are stuck with this defective television, either issuing new lamps when one goes, issuing another television (of equal size), or refunding my money so I can purchase another television, that we'll be able to watch and not have to call Panasonic and be treated unfairly every 8 to 14 months.

Purchased a Panasonic PT-50LC13 tv 11/08/03. I had also purchased the extended warranty through best buy. Since I have purchased this TV I have had a repairman here to fix it 4 times. The last time the TV was no longer under extended warranty and cost me 429 to replace the lamp which was replaced 3 time prior.

The repairman told me about a class action lawsuit. Why didnt the manufacture inform me of the class action lawsuit? Is it too late to get the 1000 towards purchase of a new TV. I dont want to have to replace a bulb every year at 429.

I purchased my Panasonic 50 LCD television from Best Buy in Marlborough in August of 2006 and have had nothing but problems with this tv since my purchase. I had to have my lamp replaced the first time after 2 months of ownership and then again about 7-8 months later along with the lamp harness and now here we are May 08 and my lamp blew up friday night and when I contacted Panasonic they stated that the class action lawsuit that they had on this T.V. was settled in Nov 2007 and that their hands are legally tied. I think that this is unacceptable for such a well known compnay at that to say to a consumer with this huge issue.

I am now stuck with a 1500 television that is busted and a 300 replacement lamp bill every 2-8 months when the lamp explodes. Along with this inconveinence I am without a television for a week or more. I was never notified that there was a lawsuit on this specific television and I was not compensated nor did I receive any notification from the manufacturer that there was something wrong and that they were going to respectfully fix or replace the television. I am a single mother of 2 and this is a very costly problem to fix every 2-8months. I would like to know if there is something that can be done? I am very unhappy and I think that Panasonic should take responsibility for this and help me and everyone else out that owns this model with whatever issues we are having it's only right.

I have been without a television for 5 days now and it's going to be even longer until I can come up with the 300 to buy a replacement lamp which shouldn't be my responsibility. Panasonic should be replacing this for free.
