Kimberly of West Chesterfield, NH September 13, 2009 Panasonic Plasma tv TH-42PZ77U stopped working. Haven't even owned it for 2 years. It is going to cost over 500.00 to replace a circuit board. john of pleasant hope, MO September 12, 2009 At first the PT-61 deveoped red vertical line across the screen, now it turns itself of as soon as it comes on. William of Highland Falls, NY September 11, 2009 I purchased a Panasonic TH-42PX75U Plasma TV about 18 months ago and while watching tv, it just shut off. I didn't notice any blinking lights, which I have been reading about on different sites for similar complaints, and will not come back on. Cereza of Pensacola, FL September 10, 2009 We bought our PANASONIC PT-56LCX16 in April 2007 from Sam's Club and it just quit turning on a week ago. The green light on the power indicator in the front of tv would blink then the tv turns off as we see a red light on the lamp indicator beside the power indicator. Diagnosis is covered by the extended warranty, but the Sam's warranty rep said if the lamp needs replacement, then it will not be covered. That was when I researched on the Panasonic projection LCD lamps. Our model takes a TY-LA1001, which is the newer version of the TY-LA1000, which won in the class action settlement. I AM RECOMMENDING OWNERS OF THE NEWER MODELS, which utilize TY-LA1001 lamps, to come forward and let's see if we are bound for another class action suit, just a newer batch of the same defective lamps. Omar of Ronkonkoma, NY September 9, 2009 Panasonic's Plasma TV model TH-42PZ700U, which I purchased in October 17, 2007 from an authorized Panasonic retailer, contained faulty parts in which made the TV inoperable after a 2 year use period. This issue has arisen in many plasma sets that were purchased between 2007-2008. Panasonic refuses to service to reimburse me for faulty manufacturing. I am now stuck with 1300 TV that will cost well over 500 to repair through normal and safe use. john of pleasant hope, MO September 8, 2009 PT-61LCX35 television developed red vertical lines after replacing tv lamp. When I spoke with a supervisor from Panasonic about the problem he could not or would not give me any information as to what is causing the problem which leaves me to believe that they are manufacturing inferior products and will not stand behind anything they sell. Jeremy of charlottesville, VA September 4, 2009 I bought a rear projection television produced by panasonic in 1993 it is a rear projection tv model # PT-50LC13 serial # 13AA14321 I have had issues with this television since day one. Panasonic states that the bulbs have an average battery life of 10,000 hours but in my experience they have been much less than that. I had a warranty however, I did not begin to experience this problem until after the warranty expired. I tried to contact a panasonic CSR about getting a rebate toward the purchase of a new television but they had no idea what I was talking about even though this was a huge class action lawsuit. Bruce of Saint Simons Island, GA September 3, 2009 I buy a new TV from Panasonic.and talk to OMar and a woment name Monniq were I was told to wait 24/48 hours every day from 8/20/2009 with a case number#26781541.gues what I never once get a call back from Panasonic as promiss and every time I call in the only repond I get is to drive or take the TV to Florda I live in GA and don't drive as well the TV is for my dad that can't walk and live in a home and that was explain to Panasonic The TV is defective upon DOA and need to be replace or have a call tag(shipping label send out ASAP waited 72 hours no repond and still gets the run around WHY so easy to reslove Esteban of Bayamón, P.R., United States September 2, 2009 I bought a Panasonic proyection TV, model PT 52LCX16 two years ago, that offers 10,000 hours use in the proyection lamp model TY-LA1001 I rarely use this tv , about 3 or 4 hours a day and the lamp failed. That mean that i have use the Tv beteen 2000 to 3000 hours, much less than the 10,000 hours they offer. I think they are not playing fair to annonce something that is wrong. I know that lamps are electronic part but the company should be reponsible on this case. Heath of Nashua, NH August 28, 2009 I purchased a PT-50LC13 Television from BestBuy with 3 year service contract. At the beginning of the 2nd year, the bulb blew (so i was told), Best Buy covered the TV, came out and fixed it. in year 3 of owning the TV the Balister overheated and needed replacement along with the bulb. Year 4 went ok and in year 5 the balister overheated and the TV is not usable, it now sits in my garage as a giant paper wait... for an item i paid over 3,000? After lots of research I opted to file a complaint here as it is clear the TV is a defective product. the system design is flawed and Panasonic should stand behind their products. After many calls and discussions with Panasonic, they were finally, so it appeared going to assist me. I needed to provide them with some documentation and proof of ownership. I did not have the receipt from BestBuy, but I did have the service contract details as well as all other documentation. After review of my details and documentation from Panasonic the came back to me and offered me a discount to purchase a TV through them at 20% off listed internet price. After a little more research I realized the discount they were offering me off their price was still more expensive than if I were to go to a store or purchase online from BestBuy. | ||||
