We bought a 50 Panasonic Viva August 2005 and now it does not work at all. The screen is blank and it makes a funny noise like it is trying to come on but then eventually gives up and automatically shuts off. We spent 1800 on this tv and now it doesn't even work.

Tv lamp was replaced about a year and a half ago and is already bad. The lamp life did not even come close to the 10,000 hour life that was stated in the lamp specs.

The economic impact is a hard on our pockets. Not only are we incovenienced with the financial burden but also the stress that we endured without a working TV.

I was part of a class action suit against Panasonic Corp due to a LCD Projection TV set, which was found to have a defect in it's projection lamps. I puchased one of these televisions and experianced three perfomance problems with the lamp within a year of purchase, and is already on my fourth lamp outage. As a remedy, I was eligable for a replacement TV or a rebate certificate torwards the purchase of a new TV. All requried documents were completed and mailed well within the time frame allowed set forth by the Garden City Group, Inc., a law firm in Melville, NY. A settement has been reached as Panasonic agreed to such remedies however, I have not been notified regarding the status of my case. Mean whle, I own a conversation peice in my living room, bearing the name Panasonic.

I spent well over 2,000 for this TV and it has been nothing but a nightmere. Its good to know that someone knew that consumers were getting the bad end of the stick from Panasonic and a case was allowed into court. I submitted all documents, and still nothing has been done. I know a remedy has already been issued regarding this case, is there anything more I can do?
