Panasonic Offers Replacement Lamps for Some LCD TVs

Dorothy of Jonesborough, TN November 27, 2008

Dorothy of Jonesborough TN (11/27/08)
panasonic tv model # PT-50LC13 i bouught tv apx 4 urs ago I had to replace the lamp in the first 2 yrs. Now apx 1 1/2 -2 yrs later it needs another lamp. had I known about these lamps I would not have purchsed. This tv cost apx 3500.00, I do not feel that a tv that cost this much should have to have almost 300.00 part every 2 yrs. I will not ever buy another one first because I cannot afford one nor can I afford the part, second I do not think the quality is there when it does not last, and third I'll not eve buy any panasonic produt at all because when I called cust service the gentleman I was speaking to hung up on me.

I used to love panasonic products but not any more and I have had my last one unless there is some resulution to this tv.

The Panasonic DLP TV model number PT44CLX65 I have is less than 3 years old and not only did the bulb burn out but I am now informed that the ballast is out too which is another 359.00 charge from Panasonic.

I purchased a Panasonic TH-50PX600U plasma television from Crutchfield a little over 2 years ago. The set went out a couple of weeks ago. A technician has replaced two circuit boards in succession without being able to make it work. I am out of pocket 280 plus the original purchase price of 3,599 and do not have a working television after only 2 years.

Both Crutchfield and Panasonic have declined to do anything about this, in spite of the fact that power supply problems with Panasonic televisions sold by Crutchfield are well documented on Crutchfield's own blog site. These guys are selling defective products and will not stand behind what they sell.

out 3,500 dollars and 280 repair fees tv still does not work

This has to be the worst TV we have ever purchased. We used to use it as our regular TV for our living room. Once we had the bulb replaced, and found out about all the bulb problems, we decided to use it as our bedroom Tv since it wouldnt be used as much. Well, it didnt last a year. Just six months and the bulb went again. We cannot afford to be buying 2oo to 300 dollar bulbs to watch Tv every six months! PANASONIC SHOULD BE ASHAMED!! Im telling everyone I know not to buy from them. I want my 2500.00 back! This is not fair.
