We purchased a Mitsubishi large screen Medallion television for 3500 when we built our new home in 2005. This television is extremely complicated to operate and has had numerous problems since the day we purchased it. It has very few hours on it; since it doesn't work properly and is so difficult to operate.

Approximately 1 year ago; the green timer light started blinking and we had to have it serviced and it cost around 500. I contacted Mitsubishi Customer Service directly and I spoke with a foreign gentleman that was very hard to understand. He was reading off of a script and made it very apparent that this was not his problem. After spending the 500 to have it fixed; we have used it less than 12 times; and the green timer light is now blinking again and the television is unoperable.

After reading about this problem online; I discovered that there are many, many, many people who have the same issue w/these televisions. Mitsubish needs to own up to the fact that they sold a bad product and recall them to be fixed at their cost. We will NEVER purchase another electronic device from a company that cannot own up to the fact that they built a slug of lemons.

I bought a Mitsubishi WD-65731 65 inch DLP TV about two years ago from Best Buy at Colonial Heights, Va. I also bought the extended in-home warranty for 4 years on this TV at a cost of over 300.00. Last February the lamp burned out. I called Best Buy and they told me that they would dispatch their technicians out to replace the bulb. Three weeks later, the bulb was finally replaced. Last week, the bulb burned out again. After calling Best Buy, they said that the warranty only covers replacing the bulb once...even though the bulb was only 5 months old. Needless to say, neither I or any member of my family will be shopping at Best Buy again. Nor will I be buying any more Mitsubishi products. This is inexcusable for a 3,000 TV that is a little over 2 years old.

We purchased a Mitsubishi television in March of 2008. It has broken three times since them. Paul's TV has fixed it twice in the past. This last time, the television once again broke in June. Paul's TV has sent out a technician, then they picked up the television. It is now August and we still do not have a television. Numerous phone calls to Paul's and Mitsubishi have been useless. They both refer me to the other.

I bought a 65" Mitsubishi model WS65613 tv from ABC warehouse. I didn't have it one month past the warranty period and the problems started. 1st the timer light flashed continuously and the TV would not turn on. Found the problem was 4 capacitors on the DM board. Changed them out and every two to three months they go out again. 2nd and most annoying problem; the picture on the tv only stays on for about 20 minutes, then the screen goes black.

I have contacted Mitsubishi and numerous techs. and all they want to do is keep changing boards at 900 a piece. There have been thousands of post about the blinking light issue but I haven't seen anything to guide me to the cause for the picture going black. I don't understand why Mitsubishi don't admit their design flaws and replace or repair these bad TV's. I spent over 3500 when new and have spent over 1100 since then trying to get it working.

George of Monclova, OH July 31, 2009

In Jan 2007 we bought a 65 inch Model WD 65731 for 3000. We made a oak stand made for the TV specifically and had our first problem within 18 months. The tv bulb goes out at the cost of 170. We replace it with an official replacement and 1 year 2 weeks later again the bulb goes out. This one is now out of warrenty and a new one was ordered on 7/6/09. The replacement came and went out 5 days later. When calling the company we were informed of a recall on the tv for a failure to sense the temperature and the fan not coming on. Now we await the reworks part from the local tv repair place and hope this bulb doesn't go. At the new cost of 140 each it is getting expensive to watch tv.

Mitsubishi WD-62525 Television Purchased though Best buy with extended warrenty in 2005. The timer light flashes and the television has completely stopped working. Many other people on the internet report the same problem and mention a class action law suit
