I purchased a Magnavox wireless Blu-ray player on eBay. The product is brand-new and works perfectly but only plays VUDU apps. I had no idea that I couldn't download Netflix onto this Blu-ray player. Had i known, I would have never purchased it. Nowhere on the box does it say that you can only use VUDU apps and not use Netflix.

I called Netflix and was told that Magnavox made a deal with VUDU, and the model I purchased will only play VUDU apps. I then called Magnavox and told them I would pay them to switch me to a model that plays Netflix. But they told me that because there is nothing wrong with the item, they couldn't help me. I paid $25 for shipping and $75 for the player, so it's $100 total. And I'm stuck with this crappy player that I can't use with Netflix. Magnavox would not stand behind their product. Also, it is false advertising, because on the box it does not say that you can only use VUDU on this player.

Bought a brand new Magnavox Blue Ray player. Brand new an won't play Blue Ray's. I called customer support and they told me I needed to upgrade the unit which required a lot of computer skills and money I didn't have and shouldn't have had to do. The attitude was that this the way it is an always have and will be. That the unit works, it just needs an upgrade.

They didn't provide any responsibility for sending a disc to upgrade or any solution. In addition, the tech was nice, but he had no means of going beyond the tools he was given. However, the female supervisor I spoke to was rude and obstinate. He should be the super and she should be in the mailroom with no contact with people! The result. I have $100 invested in a BRAND NEW dvd player that won't work.
