I saw Kevin on TV talking about this book. Promising web sites for Grants for no fees. I want to open a small business. I ordered the book and while ordering it they wanted me to buy more and more. I told her I didn't want anything except this book. I received the book read it and sat down at my computer and entered the web sites in the book that were ccompletely "FREE" not a one of them are they all wanted credit card numbers which I did not give. This man and his books are a rip off and I want my money back.

Linda of Flemington, MO August 8, 2009

Husband, Erling, placed order 08/03/09 from TV program. The offer was for the book, Free Money, for 29.95 and if you ordered "right now" you would receive the book, Debt Cures, plus booklet, 25 Ways to 5K. At the time of the order my husband was bombared with all these offers i.e. for 50 you will get the Newsletter, etc. My husband said only give him what the TV ad offered and if they didn't stop with all this other, he was going to cancel his order. They charged the outrageous 11.95 for S&H.

When we received the order on August 8th, I called the original order number and was told to call the Customer Svc #1-888-856-9046. Complaining to "Crystal" we only rec'd the book, Free Money, and the booklet, she said we had NOT agreed to pay 11.95 for the inclusion of the book, Debt Cures. This IS a misleading TV Ad and I am sorry to have to admit we will have to aborb the cost and chock it up to 'learning'.

Thank you!! I was about to purchase the book by Mr. Trudeau "Free Money" as I had seen the infomercial and was curious. I have been out of work for some time and was hoping it would help in some way. Now that I've read through so many complaints, the charges of fraud against him and the many times he has been sued, I will never consider purchasing anything from this person. Thank you.

On or about 05/04/09 I ordered the book "Debt Cures" after watching the informercial. I received the percel on or around 05/21/09. Before I even opened the box my husband became very ill and we needed every penny for healthcare(we have no insurance and our medical bills have drowned us for several years- the reason I ordered the book in the first place). I called Debt Cures customer service and informed them of the situation and waS given a special number to write on the BOX. I was told I needed to return it by 6/21 and the refund would would take 3-5 days. My husband continued to deteriorate and I became completely wrappe up in doctors, tests and worry. On 6/18 I finally had the chance to call Debt Cures customer service back- I had misplaced the special numver- and re-requested the number . I was given that info and told that I had until the 30th to make the return (under the circumstances). I as pleased at being treated so nicely.

I was without trnsportation until the 24th- I went to the post office on the 24th of June and used money I really couldn't spare to send the parcel back(still unopened). The post office clerk said it would get there in 2-3 days. I could not afford the thing where you get the confirmed signature but they did give me a tracking number. I then called several weeks ;later - hoping to give them adequate time to credit my account. At that time I called Debt Cures and was tartly informed that the parcel needed to be in their warehouse by 6/21 without exception and that they had not received it until 7/7. I explained how that was not possible according to the post office- it must have been received before the 30th. THe customer service rep just kept repeating in her very best " it came out of my pocket voice" there would be no refund since it didn't get returned by the 21st of June and it did not matter if someone told me I had til the 30th- even tho they did show record that I contacted them on the 18th. I became very upset at the reps tone and had to teminate the call.

THen I got to thnking about it all and went tot the calendar. I discovered that they could not have recevied on the 21st since that was a Sunday- AHA!. I decided to call again but this time I googled Kevin Trudeau( and he seems so nice on TV) and also look at the Debt Cures website . Nothing good about Mr. Trudeau( no surprise I guess) . Some lady had written in to complain about the same problem I was having. THe Debt CUres website however had some interesting info tho. It seem that the 30 day rule applies to notification of cancellation-cancellltion must be made within 30 days of receipt of materials. NOthing is mentioned about how the matrilas must be received back in the warehouse with 30 days of anything; rceipt payment or anything.

So I called them back inthe 1st of August and belive or not I got the SAME rep. She stuck by her guns and talked over me any refused to acknowledge any information I tried to give her. I asked to talk to aa supervisor and was primly informed that no one was available. I simply said that I was ging to continue to call. She said go ahead- no one is here today or tomorrow(Sat. and Sun.)I said "well, when?"She said she would take my number and have the supervisor call me.I made her spell his name and assure me that ther would be a phone call. She said there would be. I wuill now wait for said call . I will start calling again if I don,t rceive it. In the meantime we are without desperately needed money.

I work for a bank and every day I speak to people who have been over charged for items they ordered and cancelled, or didn't order at all. **CALL YOUR BANK right away.** You can file a dispute with them for the overcharges or fraudulent charges. They may also have a phone number you can use to reach the merchant. (NOTE: Your dispute can only cover the past 60 days, so call your bank promptly.) When the dispute is filed and investigated, the bank will reverse the charges, and then put the money back in your account.

I cancelled my subscription with them about 8 months ago and I am still getting billed.

cary of Woodbine, NJ July 25, 2009

I usually go to the library to get the book it's free!!

Denise of Prairieville, LA July 23, 2009

Charges on my bank statement for 152.85 for 2 books. Called to verify charges and found an added 99 for "extras" they claim I ageed to. NOT! In requesting the 99 to be refunded, I missed some 30 day guarantee period (that I didn't know I signed up for) by a week or so and the "Supervisor" Adolf M just kept repeating "30 days" and it was my responsibility to read what was in the box and take action in "30 days". My circumstances preventing me from reading what was in the box was that first of all I just wanted books.

I took out the books and didn't care about any other junk in the box. Also I had 2 out of town business trips and 2 funerals within that "30 days". His response was that I had to abide by the rules. Business service like this is probably not what Kevin Trudeau is aware of (his books sound like he cares about other people and their money). I cannot get any address or phone number beyond Adolf M. Based on his coldness in the situation I do not wish to have further dealings with Kevin Trudeau's products or services and I will post this information weekly in as many sites as I can find to help others avoid these "extras" and dipping into your MONEY!

Milwaukee of Oak Ridge, TN July 23, 2009

This is more like advice rather than a complaint. When someone says they are making no money from selling an item (Kevin Trudeau QSN infomercial for "Free Money") be very skeptical. Believe me, they're not making the commercial for their own self gratification. There usually are residual costs, usually upsells that you may or may not agree to, but get anyways. I've seen this in the real estate infomercials too. Now, if you're really curious and want to buy the product, tell them you will send them a bank certified check (not your personal check) and get their address. Never give them your credit card number. If they tell you they can't accepte a CERTIFIED CHECK, tell them you can't buy their product. Sometimes a bank can cancel a certified check upon request, and if they can't, at least you won't have additional charges added to your credit card or deducted from your checking account. Hope this makes sense. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true.......
