We reported correctly that Trudeau has been banned from selling his coral calcium product. He has not been banned from selling his book and in fact has been doing quite well with it. If you do a site search for "FDA," you will find plenty of stories on our site that take issue with specific FDA decisions.

I was wondering how Kevin Trudeau can be banned from doing infomercials when I see him every time I turn on the television promoting his new book. I just don\'t know who to believe anymore, I would put my money on Kevin!
See above. Trudeau has been banned from doing infomercials for coral calcium. He is free to sell his book, at least for now. If you want to put your money on Trudeau, go right ahead. No one is stopping you.
I know nobody is stopping me, i just was inquiring as to if "someone" could explain to me how it is that all I am hearing is that Kevin Trudeau is banned and yet all I see are his infomercials. I was wondering how that can be. I know I can go out and buy the book, and I will because I believe there is a middle ground to everything.

I was reading an article on your site about Kevin Trudeau's being banned from doing infomercials and about how his coral calcium 'cure' was, in fact, not one. But, lo and behold, all of the ads listed on the left AND at the bottom of the story were for coral calcium AND Kevin Trudeau books and audio CDs. Looks like your credibility isn't much better than Kevin's.
At the bottom of every page of our site, it says: "Advertisements on this site are placed and controlled by outside advertising networks. ConsumerAffairs.com does not evaluate or endorse the products and services advertised. See the FAQ for more information."

If kevin trudeau was banned from infomercials, he wouldn't have been on tv this morning selling his new book.
Hey Tim, see above.

I read the article, (and letters of response from readers), about Kevin Trudeau's natural cures, and the FTC's issues with his claims. I have also seen him on TV recently, promoting his book, "Natural Cures They Don't want You to Know About."
It's worth noting that I rarely or never watch infomercials and have never bought anything from them. However, this one caught my ear because Truedeau was talking about acid reflux which I had. Trudeau talked about taking "papain," a natural enzyme found in papayas, for acid reflux and indigestion. Both my spouse and I have this problem so we got some papain tablets at a health food store and guess what? Not a single incident of indigestion or acid reflux since we've been taking the tablets, well over 3 months now. Before, we'd had acid reflux nearly every night, and we were keeping a huge jar of antacid tablets on our nightstand. Now we just take the papain with dinner and we're fine.
I am not sure I'd buy his book without seeing a copy, but frankly, before I'd even watched his infomercial, I knew or felt I knew that the drug industry was squelching cheap and effective natural remedies so they could sell their expensive and often dangerous drugs, eg., your articles on COX3 inhibitors, or pain killers that can cause heart damage.
What Trudeau claims the FTC is doing to him is more plausible than what the drug companies are claiming in order to get out of responsibility for the drug's problems.

I just read your article on Kevin Trudeau being banned from doing future infomercials. If that article is true then why is he currently on television promoting his new book, "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About?" According to your article he is not allowed to do this anymore. By the way, I took some of his advice about a cure and it worked!
