On February 16, 2010 I purchased the IntelliGender Prediction Test. This is a urine-based test that is supposed to detect the gender of your baby. They claim you can use this test as early as 10 weeks into your pregnancy and I used it at 14 weeks gestation. I clearly followed directions that were in the packaging and received a boy result. At my ultrasound last April 1, 2010, the technician revealed that the actual gender of my baby is a girl.

I then contacted IntelliGender to let them know their test was wrong and I asked for a refund of $29+tax that I spent. I felt this was a valid request as nowhere on the packaging or FAQ sheet inside the box did it clearly state an accuracy rate of the test; therefore, leading me to believe that the test would be accurate. I explained this to Kim at IntelliGender and she blew me off with a two-line response that she was sorry it didn't work for me. They didn't claim an accuracy rate and good luck.

I am extremely frustrated with this person at this company for her clear disregard with my concern and request for a refund as an unsatisfied customer. Shortly after I had made my complaint with IntelliGender, they posted a new accuracy statistic on their website which I found to be fishy. Still, nowhere on the actual packaging or instructions inside does it state how accurate the product is; therefore, leading anyone to believe it would be accurate. Now that I look more into this matter, I feel like they are running a total scam on vulnerable expecting parents. I hope this can be investigated further. Thank you for taking the time to read all this and don't hesitate to contact me if I can provide any further information.
