Marilyn of Detroit (8/21/04):
I was garnished via my employer prior to this... the court held all funds as a result of the information I provided. The attorney Jason Katz is insistant upon stating the bill is mine although he could not provide proper proof. I gave the court documentation that I had a problem with idenity theft several years ago. My credit report is flagged as a result of the problem. The lawyer asked for a renewal of the judgment and a oral arguement, all were denied and the case was DISMISSED stating it was time-barred! This was done in March 2004. The lawyer waited and resubmitted paperwork via the court, did not recieve a court hearing nor signature and sent the document to my employer. They commenced garnishment again! I went to the court filed in objection and have a hearing set for August 25, 04. Please help me I had to pay $600 for a lawyer just to file a reply, I am being garnished 25% of my wages and it is not even my bill. My credit is ruined and if I don't stop this nonsense soon I will lose by job due to a financial disclosure and I am not able to meet my current financial obligations. I tried talking to the Attorney and his reply was now that we got you, someone's going to pay this bill. I can't imagine how he sleeps at night? I am a government employee so I was not lost for 10 years. Damage Resulting: Ruined my credit, having difficulty meeting financial obligations (mortgage, child tuition, car note other bills). Employment in Jeopardy due to judgement, and it isn't my bill. I would like my money returned the case was dismissed, his actions are illegal harrassment. Report Your Experience
