Katie of Benbrook TX writes (10/25/02):
All the time I am putting "return to sender" and re-mailing them. They finally stop. Then I keep gettibg these bills for $20, $45, $65, and now $82.30 and they have sent me to a collector! So I don't know what to do with them now I cannot afford to pay that! My husband and I are tryibg to buy our first house, but I don't want bad credit! What a mess! I don't know whether to stand firm or give. I feel these days standing firm doesn't matter, they will still ruin your credit. Sprint and I have already been through this! Katie needs to send a certified, return-receipt-requested letter canceling her subscription. She should be certain to keep a copy of the letter and a copy of the delivery receipt. If that doesn't work, she can contact the Postal Inspector. Report Your Experience
