Cigarest

Carla of Kenai AK (09/19/08)
I ordered the Cigarest program to try for free for 30 days. I was billed 5.95 shipping in strange increments of .25 to 1.04 (about six that added up to 5.95). I was mislead about how much would be billed to my debit card after 30 days. I was told that I would only be billed for a month's supply at a time and a 90-day supply was 99.85. Well, divided by three, that's about 33 a month or so and that's reasonable. I didn't worry. I was shocked to see the 99.85 show up a month later.

When I called, I was told that I could send the product back. Well, I hadn't even opened the box yet and the damage to my bank account was done. I called and was never made clear on whether they were charging 99.85 for a one month's supply or a three month's supply. At any rate, the company is completing misleading and devious in their methods. On top of all that, the product is low quality and certainly not worth 99.85 a month.

It's an expensive lesson that caused me, too, overdraft fees in my bank account at a time when every penny counted.

When you order this product on line for a free 30 day supply, they send a 90 day and after 30 days they charge your account that was used to pay the 6.95 for shipping and handleing 99.85. I called my bank to stop payment. They contacted Cigerrest and I was given an address to send back any remaining product to get a refund of my money.

This was my grocery and gas money for the week. My family just wont eat I guess. I did not even quit smoking. And if I had this most likely would have started me agian.

With your order today you will receive a 30 day supply of CigArrest FREE along with the Complete CigArrest Welcome Kit. This Includes the CigArrest Program Guide and Exercise Handbook, the CigArrest Stop-Smoking Audio CD, plus a 30 day supply of VitaGuard smoker's vitamins and CigArrest Gum -- ALL FREE. To prevent any interruption, you will continue to receive additional supplies for as long as you wish to continue.* You'll get everything you need to get started with your free supply!

The above is what I saw when I placed my order...what I didn't see...in hidden tiny-winy print under the SUBMIT button was THE REST OF THEIR STORY. While checking my credit card online, I found 7 shipping charges over a 3-day period for CigArrest. Thinking this looked sneaky, I checked the internet and found all the complaints about Cigarrest charging banks and credit cards for 90-day supplies without permission. What none of us saw when ordering the freebies, was hidden under the Submit button in very-fine print

Im sure very few of us would have ordered anything if we had read what was hidden under the SUBMIT order button. We better enter the 21st Century and start making sure our givaway vendors arent trying to do something under the table, especially us old folks who have been spoiled with honesty and want to trust internet shopping. Cigarrest is not what is known as user-friendly shopping. We must start checking our order form like an attorney. If I catch someone else doing this, I wont order from them. As they say, What Goes Around Comes Around..Cigarrest hiding the facts. Beware!

I ordered a thirty day supply of their product for a 6.95 shipping and handling charge and received it in the mail today. When I opened the package it contained a 90 day supply,so I got on there website and discovered pages of complaints from people who had money taken from there bank accounts and credit cards.

I ran to my phone and called my credit card co. and told them what I discovered and they checked to see if cigarrest had attempted to take any money and, thankfully they had not done so, YET!They cancelled my card and issued me a new one. SO, cigarrest will get there product back and I wont lose any money but the shipping. This co. needs to be stopped and stopped now, this is fraud plain and simple.

I ordered Cigarrest back in March 2008 and I have the same complaints regarding unauthorized charges for an automatic shipment. I called Cigarrest and was refunded my money about 2 weeks later but I did have to pay for the return shipping fees. Now it is July 2008 and apparently Living Essentials had gotten my information from Cigarrest and debited 69.00 from my Visa account. This site is for healthy living through pills and oils.

The Sheriff's came out to take a statement and researched it and found that I am one of many, many, many Cigarrest customers who's name and information had been given to other vendors including magazine subscriptions and other health type product vendors. I filed a police report and closed that account out immediately. I will let the bank and police investigate it. If this is true that there are alot of complaints, I would like to file a class action suit against them for selling my personal and financial information.

Although the charge so far has only been 69.00 I still am fighting to get my money back.
