I actually would like to commend Luvs and Procter and Gamble
for stepping out for their customers when things didn't work
out. They held a promotion in which you collect Luvs points
to redeem Barney items.
I saved enough points for a Barney Microsoft Actimates. I sent
in my points and check for s/h. After the eight-week window
for delivery passed, I emailed them.
As it turns out they had I bigger response to the promotion
than they had anticipated and they ran out of the Actimates.
Instead, they are mailing back vouchers for all the points I
accumulated for future promos, four $4 coupons off diapers (Luvs
of course, which I love!), a 2-foot plush Barney, which was
the next item down from the Actimate, and a Barney castle, which
is a new product.
I already received the vouchers and coupons, and I am confident
I will see the other products soon. By the way, it stated from
the beginning that this promo was, "while supplies last", so
they could have easily gone the other way with this. I had to
initiate the communication, but they responded reasonably well.
Other companies should take a lesson from this. I used to buy
Pampers, if my coupon brought the price down to Luvs price,
not anymore. And I have lots more diapers to buy!
