Linda of Brunswick OH (05/28/08)
I purchases a Martha Stewart patio set (Glass patio table with a glass lazy susan-type top, five cushioned chairs and unbrella and stand) about four years ago. Last September (2007) I found the lazy susan part of the table completely shattered. I looked for a branch or something that could do such damage but found nothing. Now I heard on the news and read on-line that there are others who have experienced the same thing. This is a potentially dangerous situation and I would like to know if there is a re-call on this product. Thank You

I am missing the lazy susan part of the table and would like it replaced. I am concerned however, that it would shatter and someone could get hurt. I am also concerned that the other part of the table will shatter also.

Work was being done on my street including blasting. My table was fine one minute, and ten minutes later I went out back and the table was shattered all over the patio. I assumed it was because of the blasting and had a MassHighway employee come look at it. She gave me the information to fill out a complaint, which I did. MassHighway refused to compensate me. I had another glass table out back that was fine (same kind)but I am worried that the same thing will happen to that.

The cost of the table and about an hour of cleanup.

I, too, purchased the Martha Stewart Victorian collection patio furniture set, umbrella and matching chaise lounge. The legs on every chair and the table are rusted. The arms on the lounge chair are rusting and peeling and the cushions are completely faded and dry rotted.

I am a bit if an obsessive/compulsive...so I took superior care of the furniture. It gets covered every evening with top-of-the-line waterproof covers. If we are not going to be spending the day in the yard by the pool, it remains covered and unexposed to the sun. The furniture is stored away from the elements from October through April or May.

After reading all of the complaints about this furniture, I can't help but wonder why it is still being produced. I happened to be on line looking for replacement cushions (which, by-the-way, are slightly changed in color or design every year so you can not really match them if you did not need to replace them all) and came accross the deluge of complaints from other consumers. To some, maybe 300-500 is not a lot of money...but it is to me. Not only did I encur the expense of the set, I now have the honor of shelling out more money to replace it.

The glass shattered on my Martha Stewart patio table after owning it for 6 weeks. There was no apparent reason.

We have a patio set and table with no glass! What use is it now!

We purchased the Martha Stewart patio table and chairs from Kmart about 5 years ago. Last night there was an explosion in the patio, only to find out that the glass table top had shattered. This is dangerous. This table had almost zero sun exposure, as it rested in a completely covered patio. I don't get it?

Now what? Looks as though Kmart and M Stewart are unwilling to recall these dangerous tables.
