amelia of montoursville, PA September 11, 2009

We purchased the set in August of 2003...Martha Stewart Victoria...at K Mart. The cushions were replaced by JRA in December of 2004. This morning, September 11, 2009, I heard this tremendous crash and discovered only the lazy susan portion still intact...the whole glass top lay scattered over the brick floor of my sunroom and the chairs...where my CATS frequently sit!! Thank God no one was seated or in the room at the time...not cats nor grandchildren! When I called the manager at K Mart this morning ahe claimed that she 'had never heard of such a 'problem'. Is it any wonder people so mistrust [and hate] big business??

Carole of bellingham, WA September 11, 2009

We bought a Martha Stewart patio table 3 years but did not remove it from its box until two years ago.. Last weekend it exploded.. My four year old daughter and dog were right next to it when it happened.. This table was not only beautiful it was very dangerous.. I believe that the company responsible for this problem should send me a new patio set or at least a new safe replacement glass table top.

Don of Fairfirld, FL September 11, 2009

Like everyone, our Martha Stewart octagon glass patio table just "blew up" this afternoon. We bought it in 2002 at the Ocala,Florida K Mart, which now suggests many, many people out there also have a ticking time bomb in their patio.

Dan of Minden, NV September 10, 2009

Martha Stewart patio table glass shattered again for no reason. This is the second time! Why should I pay for a new one again?

Bridgett of warrensville hts, OH September 9, 2009

I have the martha stewart patio glass table, about a month ago, my table shattered to pieces, I then contact martha stewart consumer relation to express my experience about martha stewart patio furniture. A response was sent to me via email to send pictures of the table and to explain what happened. I completed the request and submitted my infomation via email.

I then received a call and was advised to call corporate office of kmart, when I called them they said the the company that made the table was out of business and the warranty of the table is expired. I explained to them that it was a defected table in the begining and a class action suit was against martha stewart about the patio table. I explain to them that I wasnt trying get money for nothing, they can replace the table or send a check to replace to the table because the table was a defected table.

I explain to them I now have five chairs with no table. they told me to contact the martha steware consumer relations because they can help me. I contacted consumer relations again by email, and they have not responded back about my concerns, this is so unprofessional, I purchased Martha Stewart items before and was elated with her items, this is bazzar that they will not help me with defected table.

Jack of Belpre, OH September 7, 2009

We purchased a Martha Stewart table and 6 chairs in late 2007. Our table "exploded" in the same manner that was listed by all the other consumers. We took pictures, and like the other consumers, Kmart says they will not do anything about it.

Shirley of Deposit, NY September 6, 2009

I purchased a Martha Stewert Patio Set with 2 straight leg chairs and 4 swivel chairs,Glass tables .So far 2 people have been injured when a swivel chair broke right off and the person go flying backwards. This has happened twice and I feel the other 2 are ready to do the same thing.I want a refund or 6 new chairs that match.

Sherry of La Habra, CA September 4, 2009

Like SO MANY other consumers that I have read about online, I too was duped by an EXPLODING Martha Stewart Patio Table with the leaf glass design. It was purchased at Kmart and has been under a shaded patio since I bought it. Hence the recent weather in the high 80's seemed a highly unlikely reason for the explosion. I am so grateful that all of my dinner guests had stayed indoors the day it BLEW! What a dangerous explosion! I am amazed that these tables were not recalled. What a dangerous game KMart and Martha are playing.

diane of clarkston, MI September 4, 2009

I also had the beautiful Martha Stewart octagon glass table purchased 2007 with the whole set of everything we just watched it shatter into a million pieces. I can't believe there is not a recall on this table. I am so thankful we were not eating with guests at the time. Nobody was by it we just heard it crackle and shatter!
