Consumer Complaints

Susan of Fontana, CA September 19, 2009

The glass table top of my Martha Stewart Victoria Patio Table shattered today, September 18,2009. I have read dozens of complaints regarding the exact same problem. It is obviously a defective product and I want restitution. I paid 600.00 for the set. I was sitting about 2 feet from the table when it occurred. It scared me to death!

Barbara of Sandusky, OH September 15, 2009

I purchased a whole set of Martha Stewart patio furniture,I spent over 600.00 just for the glasstop umbrella table, also bought sofa 2 rockers coffee table spent over 1000.00 dollars. 2 weeks ago at my grandson 1 birthday the glass on the table exploded. No one was hurt because we were just getting ready, I heard an explosion the glass crumbled. some one could get hurt.

I called another kmart store since ours closed and they said they stipped making he victorian line a year ago. Know I have no table to go with 5 chairs or umbrella, I always took my cushions in and umbrella just because I wanted to keep this set nice now I can't find a table to match, still looking. We can't afford a new set, I'm understanding this is not the only one this is happen to, I read 140 complaints about the glass exploding. I'm also concern my grandson and my company could of been hurt!

Terry of Islip Terrace, NY September 13, 2009

My Martha Stewart octogon table also shattered into a million pieces. I covered it when not in use and it was covered at the time of explosion, which probably was better because the pieces all shot down and no one was injured. It was a little over a year old so I knew it was out of warranty and just bought a new one, now if I would have seen all of these complaints first I would have went for another brand, I hope this one lasts.

Shelby of Adairsville, GA September 12, 2009

I bought it about 2 years ago from the above store but do not have a receipt. Am I able to receive a new one and do I have to go to the store itself or to the manufacturer? If manufacturer where and/or to whom do I get in contact with. My glass top on my patio set exploded into a million pieces, luckily while no one was sitting at the table. I still have it in the condition it happened and the glass has not been cleaned up.

ANTONIO of GLEN MILLS, PA September 12, 2009

cynthia of chester, PA September 12, 2009

I bought martha stewart pacific palisades dining table and 5 chairs from kmart just this summer 2009 to come home yesterday sep.10 2009 to fing the glass to shattered i would like to have a new table but was told there was nothing they could do told to complait to consumer affairs

amelia of montoursville, PA September 11, 2009

We purchased the set in August of 2003...Martha Stewart Victoria...at K Mart. The cushions were replaced by JRA in December of 2004. This morning, September 11, 2009, I heard this tremendous crash and discovered only the lazy susan portion still intact...the whole glass top lay scattered over the brick floor of my sunroom and the chairs...where my CATS frequently sit!! Thank God no one was seated or in the room at the time...not cats nor grandchildren! When I called the manager at K Mart this morning ahe claimed that she 'had never heard of such a 'problem'. Is it any wonder people so mistrust [and hate] big business??

Carole of bellingham, WA September 11, 2009

We bought a Martha Stewart patio table 3 years but did not remove it from its box until two years ago.. Last weekend it exploded.. My four year old daughter and dog were right next to it when it happened.. This table was not only beautiful it was very dangerous.. I believe that the company responsible for this problem should send me a new patio set or at least a new safe replacement glass table top.

Don of Fairfirld, FL September 11, 2009

Like everyone, our Martha Stewart octagon glass patio table just "blew up" this afternoon. We bought it in 2002 at the Ocala,Florida K Mart, which now suggests many, many people out there also have a ticking time bomb in their patio.

Dan of Minden, NV September 10, 2009

Martha Stewart patio table glass shattered again for no reason. This is the second time! Why should I pay for a new one again?
