Kim of Temecula, CA October 2, 2009 Like many other complaints on here, my glass table top shattered for no apparent reason. Thankfully we were all inside when it happened. I don't want a replacement, obviously this table is DANGEROUS and should be RECALLED!! Mine is from the Martha Stewart everyday garden Olympia Collection, which appears to no longer be available at Kmart! Now we all have an expensive patio dining set, but with no table and no matching replacement table!! Sherri of Taft, CA October 2, 2009 Last Saturday, for no apparent reason, my glass top table shattered into a million pieces! It is a Martha Stewart brand that I bought at Kmart about 5 years ago. I had taken extra precautions to protect it. It had a custom cover to keep it nice and was always kept under our patio to keep the direct sun off of it. I am so glad that none of my grandkids were around it at the time it shattered. There was no warnings of it shattering. My husband and I never even heard it shatter and I'm sure it must have been loud when it did shatter! these tables are very dangerous and need to be taken off the market. I would either like a replacement or refund. There's not a table to sit at, in our backyard under the patio anymore. Kelly of Ballico, CA October 1, 2009 I bought a Martha Stewart glass patio table in May of 2008 for my anniversary. I have always wanted one and figured a Martha Stewart table would be a nice one because she put her name on it. I was hosing off the patio the other night, the kids were playing and all of the sudden I heard an explosion and looked over and there was glass all over the ground. My 1 year old daughter was going over to play with it and I stepped on a bunch of glass so she wouldn't. We all went in the house and I immediately called my husband to clean it up. Jerry of Sanford, FL September 30, 2009 My Martha Stewart collection glass table exploded. I came home from work and found glass all over my patio. joseph of Thousand Oaks, CA September 27, 2009 I just found the round glass top on my Martha Stewart Victoria Collection patio dining table shattered on my patio floor. What a mess to clean up! Now of course I am going to have to look for a replacement. ELAINE of Orlando, FL September 23, 2009 I was actually looking online of how to get reimbursed or at least a replacement for my outdoor glass table which is part of a complete, but not cheap set, made by MARTHA STEWART.What is agrevating me even more now, is to see that the first table I had from the same company shattered, but both my husband and I thought perhaps something caused it, though we did not have anything sitting on, nor even umbrella with it.We came home one afternoon and it was totally shattered into millions of pieces. Not even thinking that it was a defect for the chairs were good. So we went out and bought a whole another set even more expensive then the first, mainly for the fact that we liked the color scheme and did not put 2 and 2 together! We just bought this set about 4 months ago, and last month we heard an explosion, looked out our front door, windows, couldn't figure out where it came from. Our son went to go let our dog out and started yelling, hey our tables broken again!, that's when we realized it was the table that exploded. So now this is the second set, I have now spent over a grand on MARTHA STEWART furniture, and have 2 sets of chirs, 8 and 6, and no freakin table!!!! I feel that with all of the complaints listed here, that MARTHA STEWART should have a recall of her tables and replace the ones that have been purchased with in a certain time frame for there is NO WAY that a table should shatter under a year or two and put people or kids at risk of getting hurt! But maybe that's what it will take, some innocent child at that table or by it, to get severly hurt until they do something. Never PROACTIVE always DAMAGE control! Lynne of Brentwood, MO September 23, 2009 My husband took the glass table top out of our basement to clean it before company arrived. Before he had a chance to set the table down, it shattered in his hands. He suffered some cuts and scrapes on his hands and lower arms. We were able to get most of the pieces up off the driveway after 45 minutes with a shop vac. This happened on August 29th, 2009. Pat of St Louis, MO September 23, 2009 I purchased the Victoria collection, a six-piece dining set, from K Mart that's a Martha Stewart product. Friends warned me, after the purchase, that many people found their tempered glass table top shattered after a short time. My table was always under cover on a glassed in back porch. Now that I have moved and the table is on my deck. I keep the chairs and table covered unless I am using it. Recently I walked out on my deck and found the table glass had shattered into hundreds of pieces. I went on line and found that K Mart claims it is not their fault, Martha Stewart whose name is on it, says it is not her fault and the company who made the glass has filed bankruptcy. We are told to file a complaint. How is that going to replace me table top? RICH of EMERSON, NJ September 23, 2009 yesterday afternoon 9/22/09 our patio glass table exploded. glass all over. this table also had the lazy susan in the center but that survived. thnak god we have 2 2year olds that play out by the patio on this table all summer long. yesterday was ugly out so they were inside. Peter of Cortlandt Manor, NY September 21, 2009 I had a Martha Stewart Patio table (glass with lazy susan) that shattered. Luckly no one was hurt but I needed to replace the glass top for 300 - neither Kmart nor the manufacturer was of any help. Report Your Experience
