Hampton Bay Patio Furniture |

Hampton Bay Furniture, sold by Home Depot stores, is manufactured by JRA Furniture, headquartered in Cerritos, Calif., which proudly boasts that its furniture is made in "factories throughout Asia." Yes, and we can think of many consumers who would have been happier if JRA's glass=top tables had stayed in Asia. Besides Hampton Bay, JRA's glass-top tables are sold under a number of brand names, the most notorious being Martha Stewart. Her line of patio furniture, sold by Kmart, has produced an explosion of complaints from consumers about its nasty habit of exploding all over their patios and decks. See Sounds of Summer: Martha Stewart Tables Shattering for all the gory details.

Bob of Marble Falls, TX August 1, 2006 Bob of Marble Falls TX (08/01/06) Upon cleaning the mess up, I discovered shards of glass in the chair fabric. I discovered this because I had a cut on my leg after sitting in one of the chairs. The chairs were under the table when it exploded. The 7 piece set (6 chairs and a table) cost 500. Loretta of Pocomoke City, MD July 29, 2006 Loretta f Pocomoke City MD (07/29/06) We are out 349 for the table John of East Brunswick, NJ July 24, 2006 John of East Brunswick NJ (07/24/06)
Cindy of Cumming, GA July 20, 2006 Cindy of Cumming GA (07/20/06) I expected this set to last alot longer than it did. I took excellent care of it. I am now going to be forced to pay an outrageous amount to get a new glass custom made to replace the one that burst or buy a whole new patio set.
