Hampton Bay Patio Furniture

Hampton Bay Furniture, sold by Home Depot stores, is manufactured by JRA Furniture, headquartered in Cerritos, Calif., which proudly boasts that its furniture is made in "factories throughout Asia." Yes, and we can think of many consumers who would have been happier if JRA's glass=top tables had stayed in Asia.

Besides Hampton Bay, JRA's glass-top tables are sold under a number of brand names, the most notorious being Martha Stewart. Her line of patio furniture, sold by Kmart, has produced an explosion of complaints from consumers about its nasty habit of exploding all over their patios and decks.

See Sounds of Summer: Martha Stewart Tables Shattering for all the gory details.

What an eye opener. A friend of mine had a similar glass explosion earlier this summer with a 2 yr old set. In shopping for a replacement, we found Home Depot still proudly sellint the Hampton Bay sets with the tempered glass tops. Not looking to witness an explosion of glass, we're going to pass.

Spent 4 hours cleaning up the last mess.

Bought a Hampton Bay Kampar 5 piece dinning set last summer. This summer, one random day we went out to our patio to find the table top shattered in a million pieces. We are lucky that our two children ages 1 and 2 were not around when this happened.

This morning we woke to find the glass top to our outdoor patio set shattered on the patio. It is a Hampton Bay Furniture patio set purchased at Home Depot 2-3 years ago. We have pictures and will save the glass, after reading other reports.

will have to replace the table or table top, possibly the patio set as we have not cleaned up the glass yet and cannot tell if the glass shards have damaged the seat material.

Purchased a Hampton Bay Patio Set from Home Depot. The LASSERRE Collection. Patio Table ( Glass top ) Chairs, umbrella & stand. One day with out warning the Glass patio table top shattered into pieces. Luckily, no one was in the area when it happened. We have Digital photographs available that were taken after the glass shattered and prior to us cleaning it up.

Loss of the patio table top. Have not been able to replace it. Luckily no one was near or at the table when the explosion occurred.

In May 2007 my wife and I bought from Home Depot the complete Hampton Bay Calabria Collection:7-piece Dining Set, 2 Chaise Lounges, Glider, Accent Table, Umbrella and Base. Everything is great except for the Umbrella. The crank handle broke off when opening the umbrella. Home Depot only garantees for 90 days and Hampton Bay for 1 year. The umbrella was stored in the garage all winter. After spending 159.99 I don't think this should have happened. If I buy another Hampton Bay Umbrella is this going to again. 14 months is not a long time. Help. Thank You.

Lost 159.99. Would like another umbrella.
