Hampton Bay Patio Furniture

Hampton Bay Furniture, sold by Home Depot stores, is manufactured by JRA Furniture, headquartered in Cerritos, Calif., which proudly boasts that its furniture is made in "factories throughout Asia." Yes, and we can think of many consumers who would have been happier if JRA's glass=top tables had stayed in Asia.

Besides Hampton Bay, JRA's glass-top tables are sold under a number of brand names, the most notorious being Martha Stewart. Her line of patio furniture, sold by Kmart, has produced an explosion of complaints from consumers about its nasty habit of exploding all over their patios and decks.

See Sounds of Summer: Martha Stewart Tables Shattering for all the gory details.

Gloria of El Paso TX (09/11/08)
During the month of July 2007 my new patio set by Hampton Bay (Verrado) glass top shattered into a million pieces. Now the cushions need to be replaced. Home Depot does not order replacement cushions. I just found out the cushions can't be replaced! So the consumer has to go out and buy a new patio set.

Hampton Bay Dana Point patio set glass tabletop shattered into a million pieces. Patio set was only 6 monthes old.

Spent half the day cleaning up the glass that went as far as 15 feet away from the table. Out at least 250 if I want to replace the top with a good piece of glass. I will not accept a new top from the manufacture because from what I hear the top will just do the same thing.

Wow, this is a widespread problem! Our glass table shattered yesterday. I plan to call the company first thing Monday morning.

this hampton bay melbourne gazebo is a piece of work. whenver it rains i have to dump water out of large pockets that form in canopy. of course the water's weight has caused the rods to bend and are about to break. I calledthe company for replacement parts which they claim are on backorder indefinitely
