Robert of Sykesville, MD October 20, 2009 My wife and I purchased a couch and chair on 3/15/08 from Gavagan\'s Furniture in Westminster Maryland. Within the first month one of the couch cushions began to sink down into the couch. We called Gavagans and a rep came out to repair. He said that a spring/ spring mount came loose or broke. In July of 2009, the same cushion sank into the couch once again. We have also had problems with sharp staples protruding out between the cushions which has cut our hands numerous times. We then called Gavagans to set up an appointment to repair. Gavagans called back stating that the furniture was out of warranty and would cost us $99.00 for a service call. I explained that it was for the same problem as before. I then "vented" my displeasure and asked to speak with a manager or owner. Rob G. called back a few days later and I explained that it was for the same problem we had before. Rob was very arrogant and spoke to me like I was a child instead of a customer. He tried to compare the situation like buying a new car and having a recall on it. I explained that a new car can have hundreds of problems and that I did not care about a new car, just the furniture that I bought at Gavagans. He then asked me if he was the only one in the world that had a new car recall. My wife and I thought we were buying quality furniture at Gavagans to find out it was very poor quality that continues to break down after a little over a year not to mention the poor customer service from one of the owners. I have plenty of pics to show anyone the poor quality of Gavigan's furniture! Report Your Experience
