This was the 2nd time purchasing from Furniture Liquidators. I had received delivery on my way out of town. Left at the same time the delivery driver left and headed out to Chicago, IL. When I returned back to my home, made breakfast and sat in my Furniture Liquidators delivered LZ Boy recliner, finished eating, washed dishes then began to vacuum my carpet and when I went to slide my recliner, I felt it snag the carpet. I stopped immediately, turned the chair over and seen the rocker (base) on the chair was cracked!
Then upon further inspection of the chair, I noticed over gluing of the joints on the chair. Whereas most consumers would of thought that (the Gluing) was lousy manufacturing of the chair! I know better. I am a former employee of LZ Boy. Every piece of furniture that enters a lazy boy warehouse is inspected very thoroughly. And that sort of thing will never be allowed to leave any of their warehouses. That would automatically get that warehouse worker terminated the second it was discovered.
I then called Furniture Liquidators and complained about the damages to this chair. They had someone out to pick it up (under warranty). That was back on the 30th of November. I then called them wondering where my chair is at. Their representative for Furniture Liquidators claimed that LZ Boy told them the part (base) was on back order. ***! I then called into the LZ Boy warehouse in Chicago (my old job location) and inquired about this. That manager told me that the information I received from Furniture Liquidators was untrue. They have that model's base in stock. Then the bill came in from Wells Fargo. I told the young lady that had taken my phone call of my dilemma and she preceded to contact my local Furniture Liquidators and returned to me and stated she couldn't believe how rude they had been to her and made a notation in my account of her response from Furniture Liquidators and told me until this was resolved would put my account on hold.
Still not the happy camper, I returned to Furniture Liquidators but this time with a digital camcorder (Kentucky is a one party agree state when it comes to video recording). Basically the store's rep told me I can *** off. They will not do a refund (Wouldn't be to me, would be to Wells Fargo). And I can consider myself banned from the store and can take that video and shove it up where the sun doesn't shine! I did some more checking. Their store/business policy of no refunds doesn't work on damaged or defective furniture (Federal Law). Was then told after I informed them of this. They don't give a *** and I wouldn't be getting the article of furniture nor a refund of it back "ever!" I think that this business needs some Federal regulating to put them in the proper mindset and realize that the customer is their bread and butter!
