Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I purchased a 16 oz can of Home Style Beans - Brown Sugar & Bacon. The beans did not have a good taste; they are not thick, more like soupy. You cannot

even taste the baked flavor of brown sugar. Do the consumers, like me, a favor. Stop making baked beans, leave the beans to Bush's. You keep doing what you do best, ketchup. Also, back in the era of the early 60's, you made flavored ketchup that was so good. How about trying that again? Thank you.

What has happened to your baked beans? Over the last couple of years, they taste awful. Have you changed the recipe? Or is it the cans you are putting them in? They are bitter, almost metallic tasting. That is the best I can do to describe them. Please bring back Britain's favorite, the old recipe or the old way you canned them. You have ruined some of my favorite meals. Please do something about this. Many thanks.

I recently purchased a bottle of Heinz mayonnaise and the seal inside the lid was missing. The mayo was all hard and solid and would not come out of the bottle. I have been told by Morrisons Supermarket, where I purchased it from, to inform you directly. I will be waiting to hear from you.

I have been buying this soup (Classic Scotch Broth Soup, 400 g size ref 09~2013~DL K8 1259 23 42) for many years. This tin contained a completely different taste from the usual. Has the recipe changed?

I bought the value size bag of TGIF's Potato Skins and opened the bag. There wasn't any cheese or bacon on potatoes or none in the bag. UPC number is 4670406847. It's best by 04/28/2013 (ka2a20a19;20). I realize it can fall off the potato, but in this case there was nothing to fall off.

I purchased a family-size bag of Ore-Ida crinkle french fries. I used half last week and got the bag out of the freezer to use tonight. When I used them last week, I noticed red on my hand and thought I had cut myself. Tonight, when I took the bag out of the freezer, my hands were covered with red dye or paint from the bag - I mean really covered you could see everywhere. I touched the bag, it was white because the red was on me. Why is this happening? It scared my grandchild to death.

I bought Complan powder product for my child. In Thailand, it is not available, so I bought it from India. We used to give this powder mixed milk to my child as a primary food. It was about from the last 10 days. But today was shocking for us, when we were pouring the powder from the pack, we saw a dead lizard in the sealed pack. Really, it is very upsetting news to get such worst product from such kind of reputable company. If you want, I will send the photos, which I took.

On October 18,2011, I prepared two packages of shrimp marinara. While my husband was eating, he started to choke and spit up what appeared to be a 1 inch in length and width piece of leather. Naturally, we discarded the remainder. I have the piece of whatever he heaved up, if you would like to see it. The product ID code on both labels is, "best by 06/28/2013 **". I do not care for any coupons and et cetera, as I am no longer going to purchase these products. My husband is 76 years old; he did not feel too good after he vomited what he had already eaten, and stomach acid was in his throat. I would think you would have better quality control. I can send you the foreign piece of material, if you desire.

Last month, my 11 years old son was heating up his favorite dish of Smart Ones - Fettucini Alfredo. Within minutes, I watched him take a fork full in his mouth. Then, he mixed it up a little more and took a second fork full. He said that when he was about to swallow, he felt something on the cheek side of his mouth. He then reached into his mouth and pulled out to see what was hanging out of his mouth. He jumped and held up a very very long strand of hair.

I purchased a box of frozen beef tamales, brand name "Del Mex", Manufactured by Heinz North America, Division of H.J.Heinz Company L.P. Pittsburgh, Pa 15222 U.S.A.

I enjoy tamales occasionally and was impressed by the picture on the box which depicted a delicious looking tamale. Upon completion of steaming two of the tamales, I was very disappointed to find that they did not even closely match the picture on the box.The picture on the box depicted a tamale that has approximately a 1/8th corn maza wrapping and what appeared to be a good portion of beef and other ingredients, however, the cooked tamale had at least 1/4" of corn maza wrapping and less than 1/3" of the ingredients advertised in the picture. I don't know if there is a law against this type of advertising, but I do believe that this is a good example of false advertising.

Well, basically, I opened a tin of beef Broth Heinz soup for my dinner and was enjoying it until the last few mouthfuls. I found a stone in my mouthful of soup. I had the stone in my mouth. Lucky enough, I felt it on my teeth to know something wasn't right. I'm just glad I never swallowed it!

I hope the man squeezes blood until they scream and wins big in court. Just as the person who invented the push button on ratchet wrenches and showed it to Sears and Roebuck and then came out with it, he fought them and also won big. At times, companies think the **** with the little man and it comes back to bite them in the pocket book.

On May 17th, I choked on a bone that was 1 1/2 inches long in a chicken taquito. It was made by Heinz, so I called their number to report it and they were closed for the night and all the next day. I sent an email with a picture of the bone. It was large to be found in a 6-inch taquito. A Heinz representative contacted me May 19th and I gave her the barcode # and lot # because I did not want anyone else to go through the same thing. I was coughing up blood and the bone had scratched my throat. Heinz was supposed to send an envelope for the box and the bone so they could investigate.

I received coupons and a check for $10 (with a waiver printed on the back) on June 7th with a letter stating that bone fragments are common in the beef and poultry industry, but no envelope. So I sent an email to Heinz requesting the envelope and stated that I did not consider a bone that was 1 1/2 long to be a fragment. I received an envelope on the 10th and they received it on the 15th. I was called today—over a month since the incident. They said they did their investigation and that these things happen. They contract out to suppliers and rely on the fact that the chicken is boneless. All Q&A protocols had been followed.

My question, besides how could such a large bone get through, is why between May 19th, when I first gave them the barcode and lot numbers, were safety precautions not initiated for consumer protection in case there were other bones? Is it not better to error on the side of caution than to have maybe one person seriously injured?

Of course, I was scared when I was choking and then coughing up blood. And I was worried I had swallowed other bone pieces. Otherwise, I went to the doctor to check out my throat. But that was covered because I have epilepsy and am disabled.

Opened can of Heinz Big and chunky soup, Lamb and vegetables with mushroom. Heated in microwave for approx 1:30minutes in ceramic bowl removed from microwave had mouthful of soup which found to be gritty and crunchy, thought may have been crystalized salt had second mouthful found and gritty and crunchy again with also hard lump which i removed from my mouth and turned out it was glass. Notified Heinz on above number and went to ambulance 7:35am at Finch Hatton station reported what had happened then came home and notified Heinz of what had happened they said they were sending someone around to collect can and soup. Gave them batch number (GAC09290630 PH233R6) Cans were brought at IGA in canelands Mackay approx 3 weeks ago.

I went to recycle our aluminum cans and bottles since Oregon is a return state. None of the glass or aluminum can recycle machines were working. I told the greeter, who informed me I needed to take them to the cashier on station 19. This was at 6:55AM. The cashier on s-19 then told me I needed to take them to customer service and count them. Working for Heinz and knowing what committment the Corp. Wal-Mart has to the environment, it suffices to say that the same committment is lacking in your Ontario store with some of your associates.

You could tell that I must have arrived at shift change and they were not interested in the least in your committment to recycling and made me feel like a nuisance. I understand those employees worked all night and can sympathize with them. The bottom line is if your recycle machines would be working this would not have happened. This is the 3rd time I have personally tired to recycle there and found your machines down. I left the cans and bottles there since I knew that they would get recycled. However, there are people who work diligently at recycling and this provides a modest means of income to some of these people. Please let our mgr. here in Ontario know that these machines need to function if you want to demonstrate the same committment to environment that you expect from your suppliers.

Heinz Foods sells what they advertize as tinned oysters, but it is mussels. I know that you get oyster mussels, but the logo says "Smoked Oysters". This is misleading advertising in my opinion by Heinz Foods under the John West logo.

Found something strange in the sauce. Like something that looks like a crayfish.

I had belonged to Weight Watchers and I purchased a boneless chicken and mashed potatoe frozen dinner by smartones, which is a weight watchers product. As I was eating the dinner I bit into a piece of bone from the chicken. I didn't see it because it was smothered in mushroom gravey. The bone caused my back molar to break and exposed my nerve. This happened in November, it is now December 28th and I haven't gotten any results from this company. I immediately called the 800 number on the side of the box and saved everything. They told me to go to the dentist and have an x-ray taken and see what the damage is.

So I called any dentist that could take me right away. he took an x-ray and examined the tooth. the damage is: Root canal - $1000.00, Post and core -$350.00, Crown - $900.00 and peridontial Crown length - $1000.00. I definately don't have this kind of money. I have been suffering for over a month with this exposed nerve and can't chew on that side. I have missed a couple of days of employment. I am really upset. I asked them if they could at least send me some money so I could get the root canal and they said we have to ask our dentist who is out in another state and won't be able to look at my tooth other than an x-ray. They told me to just have the tooth pulled. I told them what are you crazy! I want my tooth. and its your fault this happened and I want some action taken. they have the bone, box and x-ray and the procedure from the dentist. is there any way you can help me.
