Omaha National Bank

La of Lithonia, GA July 15, 2009

In June of 2009, I contacted the creditor about an increase in the monthly payment and interest rate charge. Based on the conversation I was told to call back closer to my billing due date, which I did so on June 30th, and I spoke with Cindy. At that time the interest rate and payment terms were reduced. And an amount of 102 was due by July 15th, which was paid on July 14th i/a/o 105. Also during the conversation my contact information was verified (adress, phone, and email).

Shortly after I received confirmations via U.S. mail, emails, and via phone confirming the current changes to my account. On July 15th, I received an email from my ex-husband's wife that she had received a phone call from First National Bank of Omaha about a past due debt they were collecting on. She was very upset that I would give their phone number to a creditor. Once I spoke with "Kelly" at First National Bank of Omaha she declared that they could not reach me, and that they searched a data base and found a listing for an "L. ---", and proceeded to call someone elses house. Well I am La and she is ---, but clearly based on the "current" information listed on my account they not only contacted the wrong household, they gave her my peronal financial "status".

This woman is very irrate, threating that I gave her phone number out to avoid a creditor. To ommiit the distress that creditors often cause, I made sure to contact the bank "prior" to any late payments/past due situations occured. I also verified my contact information with the creditor. The customer service rep. "Kelly" thought it was "funny" as she chuckled on the phone, and continued to threaten to end the phone conversation becuase I demanded to know why or how they would call someone else's home "in search" of me when all of my contact information is up to date. I have received all messages (Mail, Phone, Email)! And the account was paid as agreed. I do not think it was "funny" that they would consider this a "good" practice.

Shawn of Vista, CA April 2, 2009

Shawn of Vista CA (04/02/09)
The credit card issuer raised my interest rate from 14.99% to 21.0%. Even though I have never missed a payment or been late, They increase the rate on 6000.00 I have on the card even pertaining to past purchases say that they checked my credit and that I had too many revolving credit cards. None that have ever been missed or late.

Much higher interest rate and payment. Frustrating and should be illegal.
