National Employee Benefit Group

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

First of all, I googled the name National Employee Benefits Group and found both this and the Better Bureau listing for this company. I have to admit your two complaints listed had me spooked for a minute since I had already signed up with this company. But upon further review, I researched your site and found that there was nowhere for me to confirm the legitimacy of these people or their existence. So my recommendation would be that you offer some kind of means to verify that what is alleged actually occurred. Otherwise, competitors or former employees with an axe to grind could use your service to mislead consumers.

Anyway, upon finding this out, I went to the BBB where I found that this company services thousands of clients a year and only had a few complaints in three years--all resolved amicable through mediation with the BBB. This made me realize I had made a safe decision with this company and I am glad to report my home was modified and debts reduced as promised.

I just wanted to thank you because your website exposed that I had not done enough to look into who I was doing business with. As it turned out, upon a closer review, I had made the right choice in selecting National Employee Benefits Group. I just know now that I should have done this due diligence before I signed up to begin with.

I have been paying $863.00 a month and ended up not going to court on the advise of Tim G. which resultes in me paying a lawyer 150.00 a month along with $712.00 to NEBG and now another credit card company is taking 110.00 out of my checking account and I am not getting any help on on settling my debts. I have paid in $8633.00 with no debt releif in site. Going to see an lawyer to file bankruptcy

I was a victim of a Loan modification scam. or at the very lest the NEBG failed to perform services after charging me up front fees. I was charged $4700.00 for services. I was told by Tim of NEBG to stop making all payments to all creditors while the modification was in place. This was December 08,2008. After being asked for documentation multiple times over a eight month period of time. All the while being told by Tim that things were going fine. I came to fine on or about 08-01-09 a NOTICE OF TRUSTEE'S SALE. taped to my front door. I notified Tim and was told that this was a part of the process. And that I need not do anything. The Notice of Trustee's Sale date was for 08-19-09. And right up to 08-17-09 I was led to believe the modification was going fine and that my home would be saved. Then I received the notice. I was then on 08-17-09 to file Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. So I paid NEBG, Tim to tell me to file Bankruptcy.
