Nationstar Mortgage

Mike of Houston, TX December 7, 2009

My mortgage was sold to Nationstar in January 2009 . From the first month they have been hard to work with . I entered a Forbearace Agreement with them in June 09 because lost of income . Now I find out that the outcome of the forbearance has done more harm than help . Nationstar is demanding the back payments within 30 days. My home is now being forclosed . I feel like I was set up by Nationstar . As soon as I get out of this hole I would like to refinance with another lender .

Cynthia of Baton Rouge, LA December 2, 2009

After jumping through the considerable hoops that are required by this company to return my insurance proceeds so that I could get my home repaired, the company has been less than helpful in assisting me. In fact this company has done everything in its power to hold on to the funds. After having 2 inspectors come to my home, one I paid for and the other supplied by Nationstar, their inspector informed the company that 66% of the repairs had been accomplished. Only 1/3 of the proceeds have been distributed.

I made a request to receive the remaining funds and was informed that 11,000 had been mailed on the 12th of November. I called the company 1 week later and was told that a check was mailed on the 13th of November. As of today, December 2nd I have not received this check. I do not believe that it was mailed out at all. I have received no satisfactory answer to believe that a check was actually mailed. I believe that the company or some person(s) in the company has misappropriated these funds and Nationstar has taken a lackadaiscal attitude to the missing funds. I on the other hand have obligated my personal funds and am in sever financial straits because of this antihomeowner approach of Nationstar.

I find it reprehensible that their accounting system is so lacking that it looses track of these funds and have NO WAY of verifying where it went or who processed it. This is extremely irresponsible

John of Middleburg, FL December 2, 2009

This all started in February of 2009, I was let go from my job due to workforce reduction. Step 1 was to call my mortgage company (Flagstar) and let them know that I lost my job and get the process started to give me and my family a chance to get back on our feet. The process started in February 2009 and after jumping through all their hoops and giving them all the financial documents they needed and 7 months to look everything over, I was granted a forbearance. And most importantly i never ever, even when i was out of work missed a single payment to Flagstar during their time of review. I returned the forbearance documents as prompted, and the forebearance was to go into effect for October, November, and December of 2009, where i would have NO PAYMENTS for these 3 months and would resume payment on January 2010.

About Two weeks after the agreement was settled, I recieved the letter from flagstar stating my mortgage had been sold/bought by Nationstar and that everything would remain the same and that they would honor all of flagstars documents. Where it stands today is I have not paid my mortgage for October, November, and December. Nationstar is threatening and harrasing on the phone with me and I have had enough of these jerks. I have done everything in my power from faxin and spending countless hours on the phone with these clowns, and nothing is working. I have all the documents including my forbearance agreement. I want out of this mortgage nighmare with these people. They have caused me nothing but stress and worry, and not to mention they have ruined my credit. If anyone can give me some advice or insight on this matter i would certainly appreciate it.

They purchased my mortgage 2 months ago. Two days after purchasing my mortgage they sent me a bill requesting a mortgage payment. I had made my normal payment 5 days earlier to my prior mortgage holder. Next month they sent me two bills.

The website has me at a higher interest rate than that negotiated with my previous mrotgage holder. The website has me listed as owing late payment fees even though I have never missed a payment. My current payment is due Dec 1st and I have called 3 times telling them to send me my statement and bill. They have not sent it.

My payment will be late and they are threatening to charge me penalties. They are operating a scam business designed to extract penalties and higher interest.

Paul of Matawan, NJ November 18, 2009

These guys are criminals. My home loan was sold to Nationstar Mortgage last year. I have never missed a payment and I was generally satisfied with my payment and my interest rate. This quarter I get a new bill with a new payment that reflected a 400 increase! My rate remained the same but the payment was 400 higher.

Of course I call immediately. None of the lower level C/S reps could tell me what had happened. The kept on saying that GMAC never collected the correct amount of escrow and that my taxes were going unpaid. They needed an extra 400 per month to catch up. "that's why the government gave us the loan, because GMAC was not doing the right thing" What a [lie]-- my taxes are paid in full each quarter. The town would never let me get behind. Losers.

So finally arguing with 3 different pin heqads I get a manager on the line who basically told me that they wanted to an extra two months of taxes and insurance in escrow. He kept on telling me that GMAC had neglected to do that and that they were just trying to fix the problem. I highly doubt that GMAC would overlook this type of thing. I am sure that at the closing table I paid everything that I needed to close that loan. I told them that I could not come up with 400 and that since I am not in default in any way that I would keep paying the correct amount.

They can pay my taxes with the money that I deposited each month. That was not good enough for them. They wanted me to re-fi or do a loan mod. No! I can make my payments I do not need a re-fi or a loan mod. They are just trying to sell services. Stay away from this group! I am contacting the attorney General of NJ and also NJ banking authority. This is extortion nothing less. ANY NJ LAWYERS OUT THERE WANT TO SUE A MAJOR MORTGAGE BANK JUST CALL ME. These people have to be stopped.

Curtis of Jackson, MS November 14, 2009

When I got a loan in 2002. I thought I was getting a fix loan. Instead I got ajustible loan which was my fault. I ask NationStar can I chang it. Which was a year and some months later. They said I will have to fill out a loan application. It came back declined, my house note jump 542 to 633 - 733 - 833. NationStar wrote me and and said my house note was going to be 1286. My house value is only 67000 and I owe 53000. I orignally went to them with Good credit. But 2 daughter in college, Divorced. Paying fo their vehicle, Taking care of my granddaughter while her mother was in college, giving allowances, tuition, room and board and Insurance. I trying to consolidate my bills and get my house note down. They said I came to the right place and the would gladly help me with my situation. I am only asking some loan or morgage company to help me lower my morgage payment. I am not asking any one to give me anything. I got myself in this mess, just someone who is willing to work with me in getting me out of it. meaning a lower payment and not at 16% interest

kelvin of Trego, WI November 6, 2009

nationstar has made us take out a loan of 3500 dollars cause they refused our house payment and keep telling us they are gonna forclose on us now my wife just had emergency surgery and they still wont work with us and they got our credit all messed up so if anyone out there can help us let us know please

Joel of La Mirada, CA October 30, 2009

My wife and I applied for a loan modification with Nationpoint in April 2009. After a month and for the next 4 months Nationpoint denied receiving it. Then, in September, we get a denial for a modification. They tell us to reapply. We did so. I told them I had no problem with the principal I was responsible for. I only wanted them to reduce the interest rate by a couple of points (from 7.25). 57% of our income is used for mortgage, taxes & insurance. They again denied us because, they say, we pay our bills on time. I recently heard Nationpoint is owned by Bank of America. Didn't they receive billions of "bailout money" to help people out? This uncompassionate company is run by a bunch of blood sucking leeches.

Ryan of Olathe, KS October 27, 2009

Two months ago my mortgage was sold from Flagstar to Nationstar. We have never missed a payment with Flagstar. Our mortgage would come out like clockwork on the 15th of every month. The first statement that we got from Nationstar was incorrect. It doubled our mortgage payment.

After contacting Nationstar, I was told that it was a software glitch and it had happened to everyone. It was a great first impression. I paid my first month with them while I had them on the phone. The next month came around and we had a mysterious late fee on our account. I called again and was told that the late fee would be taken care of. It was not. Also, the next payment that was made over the phone with one of their representatives was imput into their computer with a mistake for one of the numbers in our checking account.

Of course, the bank returned the check. With no notification that the check was returned, my wife got a very threatening phone call saying that if we did not send them a money gram they were going to foreclose on our house. We did not send the money gram. They will not accept our payment in any other form. They also said that we were a month behind on our payment because of the initial bill which was doubled because of a software glitch.

I am actively seeking to refinance with any company other than Nationstar. I will settle for the same interest rates. I want out of the Nationstar system before they ruin our credit. There has to be something that I can legally do.

felix of san antonio, TX October 27, 2009

august 2008, started to suffer some financial problems. had gmac mortgage until jan 2009 when gmac sold to nationstar. contacted nationstar in late feb 2009 about "loan modification", was advised that info. would be sent to me. march 2009 received info. and completed all required, set as instructed to nationstar.

june 2009, had not heard from anyone, i called and spoke to customer serv. rep. stated that they had no information about my request! i asked to speak with "manager" was not allowed! was advised that "someone" would get back to me! after several letters to nationstar, july 2009 i received a package with instructions for apply for "loan modification" submitted with "first payment" started to get phone calls that mortgage had not been paid! i advised customer serv rep that i had paid under loan mod. plan.

i again sent letters to loan dept., pres. of bank and research analyst dept. in sept. 2009 requesting assistance with loan! received a letter from emily neal, research analyst asking me to provide "all the required" form and was again provided another list of paperwork needed! within two weeks all was sent/faxed as per instructions. oct 20, 2009 received a letter from emily neal of nationstar, states that since i had not followed up with request to submit information to be considered for "loan modification" a second deadline was given to me of nov. 3, 2009.

on oct 23, 2009 i again faxed all the required to two seperate fax numbers given to me, i also e-mailed emily neal and sent a hard copy attention to her by certified/return receipt! it seems to me that nationstar has done all they could do to prevent giving me the oppertunity to qualify for the "loan modification program" financies have got so bad with me and my wife that i have quit paying credit cards and have only enough monies to pay the mortgage, utilities and grocries!

i have months of sleepless nights wondering why nationstar will not address/work with us with this matter! have considered forclosure, walking away from home! not able to obtain a second job due to some health problems! my wife is looking for second job, but she works all day from 6am to 6pm, will look for holiday helf at malls!
