Hsbc reported me two times 30 days late- Stasia DID help me clear that error up - however, my credit is STILL suffering, she told me that was my problem between me and my credit card companies - who increased my interest rates to 28%. I tried to refinance, denied? Because my credit was bad, BAD because of them (HSBC).

Gail of Gulf Breeze, FL September 28, 2007

I received my first statement from HSBC after the due date. Called credit card company to explain. Never used card but was charged 59.00 for processing fee then charged 30.00 for late fee. The rep eventually waived the late fee after I argued with her. She said it was my fault that I did not receive the bill in a timely matter (like I have any control over this). She was rude as all can be, and there is no reason for that. I am closing the account and requesting my 59.00 to be refunded ASAP since I never used the card.

This was reported on my credit report.

My husband and I refinanced our home through HSBC less than 2 years ago. The loan was in both our names and we both signed the loan papers.  We  were assured that the real estate taxes and the insurance would be included in the mortgage (the reason we wanted to refinance).  A couple of months later when I called to ask a question, I was told that they could not speak to me because my name was not on the loan. They had removed my name from the loan!

We kept getting notices about our real estate taxes, saying a large payment was due, but that if our taxes were included in our housenote, to ignore the letter.  We did, because we were assured that our taxes were now included in our note. We called HSBC to make sure, and they said "Yes, your taxes are included in your note".

Over a year went by, and found out that they had NOT paid our real estate taxes.   They said "Oh, sorry.  We found out, after you signed the loan, that we couldn't put both the taxes and the inusurance on the mortgage, so we just put the insurance".   We had to go pay almost 2,000 cash in overdue taxes!!

A month or so after that, we got a phone call asking us about insurance, saying we had not had any coverage in nearly a year!

They called us weeks ago and said that we missed a payment in December.  We have never missed a payment or been late with one.  We found the receipt and faxed a copy to them, and was told that it was taken care of.  This week I got a call saying the same thing-no payment in December.  When we called they said that they received it late and that they were HOLDING THE PAYMENT.

Something needs to be done about this company.

I purchased a 1998 540I BMW from Kings Auto Show in Brooklyn NY on the corner of Church St and Kings Hwy almost 3 years ago. The vehicle was sold to me for 14,000 at a 9% interest rate. Almost 3 years later I still owe 16,000 on this 1998 BMW.

The lender for this account is HSBC and I have asked reppeatedly for a copy of the original contract, but HSBC refuses to send it to me. HSBC has erroneously reported 7 30-day late payments in the past year which is completely incorrect.

They have also reported 4 90-day late payments over the loan period.

These fraudulant reports negatively impacting my credit tremendously and no one is willing to help me rectify the situation. As I am sending this email, I am speaking to a customer service rep for HSBC who says I have paid my payment in advance and do not owe any payment until April 21. May I just say I have not even paid March yet because it is not due until the 21st every month

My credit has been susbstantially damaged and I have paid an atrocious amount of money towards this loan due to being scammed. My wife is handling this situation for me so please contact her at 904-708-1660 to discuss further. Her name is Katrina Otero

This bill was paid in full for over a year, when I received phone calls saying I owed 591.48. I disputed the charges, and was still charged this amount. My husband paid this amount over the phone we still have a copy of the check, and it cleared the bank on 6-25-06. He threatened that he was suing me. I explained this was bill was fraudulent, but paid anyways, and he said I was responsible and he needed a payment for 783.00 immediately to stop the proceedings. I refused to pay him, and now he is constantly calling, harassing me.

I received an application, pre-approved form in the mail. It said 0% interest for balance transfers. I took them up on it. I attempted to tranfer the balances of my other cards to this one card. I received my card in the mail with a 300 limit. This was, of course, not going to work.

I called immediately and was told my card was cancelled and the balance transfer requests would not be sent through. This was on the 8th of January, 2007. On January 20th, I received a letter dated Jan 12th, postmarked Jan 17th stating they had made a 150 payment to one of the cards I had requested balance transfers on.

I called and spoke to several people who claimed they were managers, but could not reverse this action. They claimed I had requested it and although it was not transfered till the 16th of Jan, that was my issue not theirs. There were employees laughing in the background as I attempted to explain I cancelled the card, never activated it, never used it and then 8 days later they transfered money from a closed account. Again they stated it was my issue and they could not help me.

I made a payment for my card at the branch, I have a teller receipt. i have been to the branch, i have called customer service immediately, I also have sent the monetary research department a fax of all receipts, I am still being blacklisted with over the limit charges. I will pay this card off and I am done with incompetent businesses.

Carol of Mt, Morris, NY September 29, 2006

I had made an online payment through their website and they sent a double payment, then argued me that they were authorized payments. Then they recently did the same to my daughter, emptying out her account, so she was bouncing checks!

My daughter has a baby for whom she was left unable to buy formula for because of this.

Carlton of Bloomington, MN September 10, 2006

Six weeks after complaining to both HSBC Card Services and the Better Business Bureau, I am still receiving multiple telephone calls a day (including Sundays) on my cellular phone concerning collections for someone other than me. I am not even a HSBC customer! Four weeks ago I received a letter from their office of the President assuring that all calls would cease. The BBB also contacted me asking if the problem was resolved to my satisfaction. I requested that the case remain open for 30 days to assure that the problem was fixed. The BBB felt that HSBC had remedied the problem and closed the case (with my disapproval).

Each call that is received on my cellular phone is charged to my personal cellular bill. I am receiving approximately 4-6 calls per day from HSBC.

Lynne of Garfield, NJ August 20, 2006

I contacted credit customer service after receiving a notice that they were raising my interest rate to 28 per cent even thought my payment history has been impeccable. I requested that my account be closed and that I continue to pay off my account at the current rate and I was told that I would still have the higher interest rate applied to my accounteven though it was closed. I believe the reason for this increase is because I just took out an auto loan, also i was charged an over limit fee because of a fee membership fee that I was billed twice for this year. I do not feel that I should be penalized especially when my bills are all paid on time and I havent had a late payment on any of my accounts Something has to be done about thes credit card ompanies

I will take me much longer to pay off this account, I plan on trying to pay it off in full
