Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I am so angry about investing money with FFM to settle my debt. I paid FFM $289 per month for 18 months. FFM never gave me an update or statement about my account and they literally stole $2,000 from me . I currently have $2,500 left in the account but FFM is out of business and a new company took over.

It's been almost 3 years and no clue if my debt will be settled and if I'll ever see that money again. If anyone out there is pursuing in a class action suit, please provide me with information on how to do so. Thank you.

I hired this company to settle a credit debt that I have. February 4, 2010 to be exact, is when I began paying $458.00 monthly. Fidelity takes this money from my checking account and has not made any payments or contacted HSBC Bank to settle my account. I myself have been running to court and doing all the things they were paid to do. I missed a court date on 12/01/2010 and received a letter from the collectors for the bank, stating that I failed to appear in court and that they are notifying that a request for a default judgement be submitted to the court.

At my last court appearance, the attorney informed me that if Fidelity contact them, I would not have to appear in court anymore, but that they failed to contact them. HSBC Bank wanted to settle. Why on earth has this firm not made any contact with these people to settle my my debt after I informed them of this decision? I am convinced that they do not have any interest in settling my account. I feel that they are a fraudulent company and I want all my money back, even their fees. They have not done anything on my behalf. Please help, I do not know what to do next.

I entered into a contract agreement with Freedom Fidelity Management for the purpose of reducing my debt. Much to my chagrin, Freedom Fidelity Management (hereinafter "FFM") has worsened my credit problems. Since the commencement of our contract in October 2009, according to my records, I paid $8,748.00 to FFM. However, FFM has only paid one 1 of my creditors the sum of $500.00.

My remaining accounts have been "charged-off", thus, all debts have been cancelled. This is both shocking and offensive! I began telephoning FFM in August, 2010, in an attempt to discuss my concerns, all to no avail. I left countless messages my requests for a return call, to this date, remain unanswered. I forwarded, via facsimile transmission, a request to withhold my October payment on September 17, 2010. As of September 20, 2010, having received no response to my written communication, I spent the morning telephoning FFM. Finally, I spoke to "LaJean", who assured me that my October payment would be deferred until November 8, 2010.

Imagine my surprise when on September 27, 2010, I discovered that my checking account had been overdrawn as the result of a debit submitted by FFM (this debit also subjected my account to overdraft fees). This was the proverbial "last straw". FFM preyed upon my vulnerability by promising to help me manage my debt. Instead of resolving my credit problems, FFM single handedly managed to decimate my credit. FFM failed to keep its promises! Now, its new owner, Alliance 8, is following suit. I have demanded a refund from Alliance 8. They refuse to respond to my calls, letters, faxes, emails. Today, after finally reaching them via online chat, a representative told me, "if you want to litigate, go ahead!" I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, more time and energy wasted! Please tell me that there are attorneys ready, willing, and able to pursue this matter! I lost $8,748.00 plus my credit is now decimated!

Last September, my husband lost his job. We struggled for five months. In lieu of bankruptcy, we were told about folks that could help you pay your bills at a lessor amount. We checked on the internet and this company sounded pretty good. So I contacted them. They gave us a quote on all of our bills, telling us how much we needed in the account. They were taking $499 out of my checking account and did this for six months. We would call and check on the status and could never get through to anyone. When we did get through, they told us they were working on it. We decided to take the remaining balance out of our retirement fund to get this all done and over with.

In August, I was sent a subpoena to court for one of my accounts. My husband had to call the credit card place and see if we could work up a deal since Fidelity was not doing anything. I was suppose to go to court August 25. We settled with credit card company and did a three way conference call with them and Fidelity. We then decided to pull over $10,000 out of our retirement fund to get this all done and over with. We sent Fidelity over $10,000.

Then we received a third party letter on another credit card account. The rep from Fidelity called me last month and asked me about an amount. I said okay since I thought this was the amount he was settling for. He never said we need to renegotiate for a lower amount. We never heard anything from anyone. We called and called and no one would call us back.

Remember now, we have given them over $14,000 at this point. On 11/18, we received a statement and it showed we only had $588 left in the account and there were five other creditors to deal with. I called and called and could not get through. Finally, I called the line that the creditors call and got someone who transferred me to a rep. He says the other accounts were not settled because they could not get the settlement low enough on the two that were paid. They have $3100 fees they have charged and have done absolutely nothing. Please do not deal with this company if you want your debt satisfied.

This company is a scam! In 2008, we started this program when we were falling into a lot of debt due to personal circumstances. I was still up to date with all the bills, though I felt deep in debt. I found this company and they sounded pretty sincere that they could help me pay it off. I expressed concern over the phone of not wanting to fall behind on payments and mess up my credit, they understood. They have you change all your information with your creditors to their information (address, phone number, name). Therefore, you have no idea what is going on with any of your creditors unless Freedom Fidelity Management tells you. I was not informed that my payments would be immediately stopped to all my creditors in the program. This makes me so angry! I purchased a home in 2006 with a credit rating of 720, now my credit score is 589 and that is actually increased from what it was.

After not hearing anything within a few months, I contacted FFM. They informed me that they cannot do anything until they receive the full start-up fee, which is a whopping 12% of the total balance! Therefore, it would be months/years before my creditors get paid! At that point, if I quit the program all the money in my account would have been gone, since it's still the start-up fee. After being sued twice over the past few months, they are supposed to be settling one of these accounts. My husband's checks are being garnished for the other one. I am trying to follow up with the one their supposed to be settling, though their website address does not work, my representative's email is no longer active, and their phone number's mailbox is full!

I do not know what to do! I feel so violated that I could fall for something like this! I've tried to get out a few times and they have a nice, understanding lady talk with you and you feel pressured into staying in the program. Is there a way to sue or end this program so no one else has to go through what I and many others have had to? This program has ruined my credit history for a very long time and has medically declined me with depression and insomnia! This program is a scam and should not be allowed to do this! Please help!

As soon as I finished paying almost 14,000 in prepaid fees, FFM stopped responding to my e-mails, faxes and phone calls. They are scamming people out of their money. I'm diligently working toward a class action law suit against this company. I will not rest until they are put out of business. I can be contacted at the enclosed information. There are thousands of people who have had this same experience. No way FFM is going to get away with such dishonesty.

These guys scammed me out of $1,500 and never contacted any creditors nor negotiated a settlement. They refuse to answer phones, emails, etc. GCS issued me a refund of $414.00 and then put a "stop payment" on the check. As a result of this, I'm now being sued by all my creditors and -$414.00 in my account. There are 3-4 lawsuits against me. I will now have to declare bankruptcy and also perpetuated a negative $-414.00 in my checking account.

I called Freedom Fidelity Management to see about me and my husband participating in a debt consolidation program. On the phone, the representative stated that they had a relationship with Chase Bank USA, in which they could negotiate a settlement. They instructed us to give Chase a speech when they called. When Chase called, we informed them that we were working with Freedom Fidelity Management to resolve our debt and we were then informed that they had no dealing with Chase.

We informed Freedom Fidelity of the problem and Erica stated to just ignore the phone. When the phone calls became too much, we requested to terminate our relationship with Freedom Fidelity, along with a complete refund. Fidelity did not refund $600+ of the money. Per the signed contract, it was supposedly a retainer fee. We signed it under the assumption that Freedom Fidelity could truly negotiate with Chase as they had verbally stated on the phone.

Because of our involvement with Freedom Fidelity, the bill became delinquent and has been turned over an attorney's office, who now wants to sue on behalf of Chase. I was unable to rest in my home because of the phone calls. I suffer from insomnia and other disorders and the phone calls were just too much. Now, we are being sued with a threat to freezing of our accounts and garnishment of wages because Chase no longer wants to deal with us. We are willing to pay what we can to Chase, but they are no longer willing. If Chase prevails, I can be put out of my apartment, loss my job and be destitute.
