I filled out an application online with my mortgage company (M and T Bank). For mortgage assistance in July of 2009. What I understood was supposed to happen was they would refinance my mortgage, take the equity and bring my mortgage current, and lower my payments. I had been calling them to find out what was going on and they kept telling me that my forms were being looked over and I should be hearing from them. At the time I didn't know it was only supposed to take thirty days. I kept calling them and then in Sept.2009 they sent me a letter declining my application. I was informed that I could appeal the letter within 10 days and I did. Only not to hear from them again.
Finally an M and T Bank Representative Tom L called on or about Nov.1 2009 and we started all over again with the application and added my sister who moved in with me to help me keep my house. We have submitted everything that Tom asked. He said he didn't see any reason why they couldn't do what I wanted. He said that he would submit the information again. He did and once again I did not hear from First American until today Dec. 7, 2009 once by phone and they sent a letter that is asking again for more information. I no longer have the job that I had a few months back and now I fear I am about to lose my house over something that should have been taken care of back in August 2009. Is there any way that you can help me?
