Cross Country Bank
Boca Raton, FL

Could someone please inform me as to the rights of consumers when it comes to becoming a secured credit card holder?

The complaint which I have is with the Cross Country Bank, Boca Raton, Fl. After paying the 21.24% interest rate they charge, I still have to pay 50 cents to use the automated service for account info. and $5.00 pay by phone fee (automated) and $7.00 (in person operator) fee.

I have been complaining for the last 4 months to the operators who will not let me speak with the manager to complain about having to pay the $7.00 as oppose to $5.00 because they refuse to fix their automated service in order to get the additional $2.00 by using the operator. My long distance bill is still being charged because they have a 302 area code to pay by phone.

Please advise me how do I get them to fix this problem and stop taking advantage of the general public who are supplying them with the business to go on.

Unfortunately, there are very few regulations that govern the fees banks charge -- which is why banks keep piling on more and more fees.  It sounds as though you would be better off closing your account and doing without a credit card until you can find a better deal.
