Kevin of Green Lake WI (09/30/08)
Countrywide gave us an original Loan that was signed by Kevin and myself. We tried to cancel the loan before the three days were up and the representative told us no problem. Her supervisor call us insuring he would change the loan terms and we kept the loan. After years of hardship and medical issues. We have repeatedly asked for assistance by refinancing, hardship assistance and also a deed in lue.

The Compnay has been impossible to reach and also says that I(Genevieve am not on the Loan) they do not let me talk even though i have copies of the signed documents with my name and ititals on everything. We recieved a summons of Foreclosure on 9/15/2008 when we still have a deed in lue pending. No one will answer the phones at the number supplied and we do not know what to do. Please help. A response is needed to the Laywer of Countrywide by Oct 5.

I was relocated under a CORPERATE BUYOUT program on my home through my employer. I was forced into a short sale (by 13k). Countrywide advised we not make payments etc and it would take 42 days for the short sale to be approved so my comany could purchase it, we even offered to make up the difference,

its 5 months later and now, after extending another 30 days my company is withdrawing the offer. Countrywide had lost the paperwork, lied time after time telling us it was all approved and ready to go or whatever story they needed for that day. It would have been one less forecloser on the books.

We are forced into forecloser, a sale that was only 13k short will result in a loss of 50 to 60K, has cost us all the other monthly bills for landscape etc and terrible guilt and many sleepless nights. ANY HELP?

Mogesh of Belleville IL (09/28/08)
I have tried numerous times to get help from countrywide customer service and their hope department to no avail. All I get is the runaround. I have always been on time with my mortgage payments, then had a decrease in work hours and saw a decrease in my cash flow. I tried to be proactive by calling Countrywide to try to set up a loan modification because I could foresee me possibly missing payments or falling behind on my mortgage loan.

I called at least 8 times to get something worked out, did everything they told me to do such as writing a hardship letter and sending copies of my pay stubs, and got nowhere with anyone there. They told me someone from the hope department would contact me----no one contacted me.

I call and call and I am getting very frustrated because it seems that Countrywide just doesn't want to work with me. It seems that countrywide would prefer to see people go into foreclosure than working something out to help people stay in their homes.

Rina of Rochester, NY September 27, 2008

Rina of Rochester NY (09/27/08)
I had trouble with my new rate of 10.5% since my old one was 7.5%. I had a job change and went down in 50% of my wages so naturally I fell behind with the mortgage and when I asked for help the representative Sophin told me I didn't have to pay a mortgage payment for three months because my rate was going down to 7.5 as I was chosen for a special rate reduction for 5 yrs and it would be effective in October and the back payments would be placed at the end of my loan. My husband asked me to call again a few days later because he thought it's too good to be true and another rep told me that all Sophin told me was not true and she tried his extention but he would not answer. She told me it would be reviewed by a negotiator and to call in a week.

After a week I talkedto another rep who told me I did not have a negotiator and she would put it in the computer, she didn't know what happend the forst time or why it didn't go through, but again I needed to call in a week. Again I call back alnd now I'm told that the negotiator was assigned and for some reson that morning before I called it was sent to another person who hasn't received it yet, but I sould apply for a modification.

NO ONE told me I needed to do any of this for a month of calling! I kept being told that my rate would automatically be reduced in October to 7.5. When I asked for it in writing they said they don't do that and it would automatically come in my September statement. Meanwhile my modification papers came with the 10.5% intereste listed for the next five yrs. I alled saying this must be an error and they assured me it was and I should sign the paper it wuld be the 7.5 that was showing on their screen but I knew better than to do that.

So now I am filing for bancruptcy to protect my home which I can't afford anyway. I must have spoken to at lest 9 different people and each one is not held accountable for any of the lies they tell me. It's ridiculous! They can get away with lying to me and not be held liable! I want to sue! My credit is shot. I am depressed, my kids don't have much food in the house because I have been struggling to catch up on all bills. I have stress headaches and no longer sleep. My husband and I are contemplating divorce. This has torn my life apart.

Brian of Corona CA (09/27/08)
I received a letter from Countrywide explaining that my personal information (social security # and other information) may have been sold. This is absolutely unacceptable and Countrywide has offered me a 2 year complimentary credit monitoring service in return. This is also unacceptable.

Is there any leagal action here or perhaps 30 years of monitoring or a guarantee that Contrywide will accept full responsibility for fraudulent use of my information? 2 years of monitoring my credit is not sufficient. The people who have our information will obviously just wait until this time is up.
