Jonathan of Salt Lake City UT (10/06/08)
I have been trying to refinance my home loan with Countrywide. I am almost at 11% interest rate and cannot keep making these outrageous mortgage payments. I have been in contact with the above people. We have been in the process of re-financing the loan. On 9/25/08 I received an email from Dave that stated he needed to speak with me immediately about the loan. I called him 3 times that day and left voicemail messages. I never heard back from him again.

I have contacted both him and Michele by email but have heard nothing from them. About 3-4 weeks ago, I received a letter from Countrywide stating that my confidential information had been sold by a former employee and they were worried about identity theft and fraud. The letter stated that Countrywide was watching my credit to see if anything abnormable was occurring.

Also, I paid for an appraisal of the house that happened about 2 weeks ago. I have not been able to get a copy of what the appraisal said. I have made several attempts to contact Countrywide and nobody will call me back. My monthly payment is so high right now that I cannot afford to keep paying it. I am going broke and Countrywide will not help me with the refinance. I can't even get a hold of them!

Emotionally I am extremely stressed by this. I can't sleep at night and I have anxiety all day long because of it. I am afraid that because my information was sold, fraud is occurring against my name. Economically, I am broke because of this astronomically high mortgage. I have paid out money to refinance this loan with Countrywide to no avail. I am going to lose everything that I have because I can't keep doing this!

When I refinanced because I was constantly hounded by CountryWide staff about my payments, I was charged an additional 4,000 by CountryWide to close the file, although I did not owe them that money. I paid it so I could refinance with another Mortgage Company. But I felt wronged.

I am a single parent, with a quadraplegic daughter (car accident) three grandchildren that I take care of and it hurt me financially to pay them this amount of money.

In 2006 i obtained a 80%/20% mortgage from countrywide home loans and was told that as long as i kept a good payment history for the first two years that i would then be able to refinace for a fixed rate on both loans consolidated into one. after the two years went by i called to refinance and they told me i was not elidgable for a refinance loan. right now i pay 1,016.05 for both of the loans i have with countrywide and am struggling to pay. i don't know what else to do.

my payment history is off track now because of this loan and i have to say that i'm sorry i ever purchased property. i was lead into thinking that after two years my payment would go down tremendously.

Continual foreclosure threats, called deadbeat. I am 62 years old and my husband of 23 years walked out along with cleaning out bank account. I called Countywide and spoke with serveral representatives immediatley asking for a 30 days extension and notifying them the payments would be running one month late due to the above. They told me no extension but they would send me a workout sheet.

I filled it out and sent it back and was sent a registered letter denying me and stating that I did not have enough income to support the payment. Not true, I recieve spousal support amble to pay the mortgage, still harassed by Countrywide. Payment includes pmi, house insurance, late charges, interest..31.00 going to principal.

Caused emotional problems, afraid to open door or answer phone. Now on paxil. Countrywide said they would change locks and sieze everything in house. Account due to Sept. 08.

I recently was placed on a special forbarance by countrywide, I was making payments as scheduled. I had an unexpected medical problem which required surgery. I tried to contact my workout negotiator several time with no success. I left messages with other team members to have them return my calls or pass an e-mail to them to contact me. No contact has been made to date. I was seeking some leanency on my due payments, until my short term disability kicked in allowing me to catch up. I spoke with representitives assurring me it would be ok to pay my now two late payments on or before my next scheduled payment date.

I just received in the mail a notice to pay all past due payments in the amount of roughly 14,000.00 by the 24th of October, 2008. I can not believe that these people lie so badly. I have not spoken to the same person twice, and I call them every other day to keep the communication going. We desprately want to keep our home, and these folks just seem to continuely try and discourage this. The whole process with dealing with Countrywide is very tedious, and as customers trying to keep our home you would think they would be more attentive to us and willling to work with us.

Not sure, probably going into foreclosure because we're not able to come up with the money in the amount of tome they demanded
