Shabbar of lewisville , TX August 6, 2009

Country wide dropped the ball and messed up my deed. Since april 2009 Ive been tryin to get them to remedyu thier error. In the mean time I faced severe financial hardship and wanted to sell my house. Countrywide didnt let me since the deed wasnt clear because of thier own mistake. Its august 2009 now and they reported delinquent payments to my credit agency thus I cannot obtain a school loan.

Guy of St. Augustine, FL August 4, 2009

Countrywide held the second mortgage on a home I owned that was short sold with a settlement date of 01/25/2008. Countrywide agreed to the short sold and accepted a payoff. I received a 1099-C Cancellation of Debt tax form from Countrywide for the difference. Countrywide still calls and harasses me about the debt, even though someone else now owns the house. I've called many times and constantly been assured that it would be taken care of and my credit would be repaired. Please help!

Randall of Colorado Springs, CO August 1, 2009

When I refinanced my home the loan was purchased by Countrywide Financial and I set up automatic payments with them. Shortly thereafter the above company was purchased by Bank of America. It was my impression that my mortgage and all accompanying transactions were now through Bank of America but boy was I ever WRONG! I received a welcome letter from BoA and had sent them the house payment over several months. Being on unemployment my bank account was not that well secured and lo and behold in June of 2009 Countrywide attempted to take the house payment out of my account AFTER I had just paid BoA. This created NSF fees at the rate of 25.00 per request and the end result was 275.00 in NSF fees. My bank returned 100.00 but to date I have been fighting Countrywide to reimburse me for the balance of the NSF fees. BoA did reimburse me for the extra payment. They both said that it was because I never cancelled out the automatic payment with Countrywide and that Countrywide was "still operating" under their name. They certainly are operating but the patient is dying.

We had one of those interest only loans, and when the ARM kicked in our payments went from the original quoted 1600 - 1700 a month to over 3,000 per month. We worked hard to pay this amount but we could not keep up and all of our other bills fell into past due/collection status. We tried to work with Countrywide but we could only get a Call Center and a different person every single time who would tell us something different.

When the Colorado Lawsuit against them was settled the loan retention team then told us that we would receive a financial re-finance packet in the mail. We have been waiting and waiting for that info to be mailed to us but we have rec'd nothing. Countrywide reps never called us and when we called on numerous occassions there was only a recorded message saying our loan was being reviewed.

Now Countrywide is telling us that we owe then over 17,000 and they refuse to look at fixing this ARM mortgage problem. I have become disabled and can no longer work my job but I am on Long Term disability. We need somebody, person to help us

All of our credit card payments were over due and went into forclosure, our lights and gas were disconnected. When the rep from Countrywide told us that we would receive a re-finance packet, we attempted to catch up our other bills. I just paid off a judgement against me from St Anthony North Hospital. I only receive 60% of my salary now and we can no longer afford to pay 3,000 plus a month. This is our 1st home and I believe we did not get adequate assistance like the President said we would.

Gary of Hanahan, SC July 24, 2009

We refinanced our home in March of this year with Countrywide - the same one we had our previous loan with. They said that we would have to go FHA to save on our monthly PMI insurance. (about 200 a month) We agreed and after having the loan for only 3 months we refinanced for a lower interest rate with quickenloans in Southfield MI. They said that we didn't need to go FHA and still could get a low PMI rate. They said that countrywide tells it customers this because they get more money steering people to FHA loans. We just signed the papers and after calling HUD to get my 3600 upfront PMI payment back they said that since Nov. of 2004 when you went from a FHA loan to conventional you lost that money. I paid 3600 for a three month loan. This is a rip-off!!!!! Is there anything I can do?

katina of mcdonough, GA July 21, 2009

I was in a loan modification due to being 90days behind and they gave me one and i did what was required and they forgot to add my property taxes into my fha loan which is required by law now my mortgage went up 190dollars a month and they said it my fault. Im now behind again at risk due to this oversite and may lose my home, I was on bed rest carrying twins and Since this has happen i have lost my job and exhausted all my savings they are giving me a run around. Now Bank of America owns them what do I do. I have been rip off and now i owe 8000 more on my home before they touch it. Can't sell it not worth what i owe.

michael of san bernardino, CA July 16, 2009

We started the refi process in June of 2008. We paid for the appraisal out of our pocket and it barely made what we needed. Everthing was fine. Then we werent hearing anything. Eventually found out that Michael didnt make enough money to carry the loan. We disagreed because we obviously made it w/ no late payments this far. Also we wanted the oppurtunity to prove the income further indetail and was denied.

We then tried for a modifiaction. After 5 months we hear we were denied because we were missing an eployment document, which they later admitted they did have. Now we started all over with the modification 3 months later and hear that one wasnt going tp work for u, maybe this one will and it goes on and on.

Judy of Interlachen, FL July 12, 2009

Back in March of 2008 Countrywide sent out a letter to offer Refinance with No closing costs that had an expiration date of March 31, 2008. I contacted them and started processing a loan to combine two mortgages to one and reduce rates and payment. I told them I had Had a contractor who put a lein against the house, but I did not owe him any money. He did not follow his own contract the way I did and the BBB of FLorida later that year released me from any responsibilily and had him to remove his lein. They then as of August had dropped the process and I was told to call them when everything was squared away.

When I had a clear title late in December 2008, I calle them back and they exclaimed I was too late. I try to process a loan with the now Bank of America who had taken over for Countrywide and I was told by Tonya C at the Bank of America/Countrywide Bank in Tampa, Florida that I was not important and she was a very busy woman. Too many other people had loans on her desk and that she would get to me when she could. Phone tag then began when multiple documents were required from BOA to process this same loan.

I had always refinanced in past times by myself, but now they needed all kinds of verifications. I had been a true Countrywide customer in past, but this soon became overwhelming. I needless to say cancelled this process. I have since went back to them and have had to pay for the second appraisal on the same property that is way under bid for this area. The housing that use to be worth 165,000 next door as of April 2009 was now worth 119,000, and mine bearly at 105,000 even though to process this loan I needed 108,000. By the way, the neighbor and I have the same exact floor plans at time of purchase. I feel that I have had to come up with more money to line the pockets of the Bank of America lenders and was cheated out of a perfectly good no cost refi. Do not know if there is any action I can take on my part to reduce some os these expanding and accumulating costs I now face. I would like some explaination why they could not do the first loan they had asked Countrywide to do for their customers before the merger took place. HELP!!!!

Christine of orlando, FL July 9, 2009

I started calling countrywide to see if our mortgage could be lowered because my hrs. had been reduced in 2008.Sometimes we had a hard time making our payment so I continued to call so they would be informed, I asked could they put the payment at the end of the mortgage I was told they couldn't do that so I needed to try to pay the payment. The first week in Feb I called the retention dept. to try to get mitigation because I had been reduced to 20 hrs. per week. I was told they would note my acct.

The next week we received a mitigation package from countrywide fed x had left it in front of our door. I read over the paper work then I let my husband read, on Saturday morning we went to amscott to sign in front of a notary I put in two of our check stubs as requested put it in the fed x box. The next monday I went online to check the delivery status,

The packgage was received the next day 9:30 a.m. this was in March we had until April to sent the papers back but I sent them almost a month early. Our new payment started in May we sent the payment to the address on the mitigation papers on the 8th of may it didn't credit until May 20th.

I called the now BOA July 8th to find out why we had't received our final mitigation papers I spoke to someone in the customer service that seemed very glad to tell me that our file was closed because they never received proof of income which is a lie how and why is BOA allowed to get away with treating people like this. A settlement had been won so BOA is supposed to be doing things differently, I need help because I don't want to lose our home I'm now on unemployment.

Irma of Temecula, CA July 7, 2009

I would like to request to dispute and have deleted 4-6 months from 2008 and 2009 worth of late payments posting off my credit. Reason being, is I always called before payments were due to inform Countrywide of my hardship,My husband first had his hours cut, then finally laid off. I have copies of every letter and every persons name and time that I spoke to for some assistance. I was always told I have to be late 4-6 months to receive a loan modification or any other assistance.

So because that was their requirements I believe they can delete and excuse those 4-6 months I was late per their request. I believe they owe me at least that giving I have signed the house over to them in a “deed in lieu”, in move in ready conditions, and never failed to meet their requirements when I could not make payments to keep home. I've lost my home, my husband still 1 year later has no job, and my credit is completely ruined. I wake up and go to sleep with an headache.
