Corporate America Family Credit UnionElgin, IL |

Brad of Fountain City, WI October 24, 2009 I got stuck with a loan for The College Network courses that I purchased. My own fault for not doing my homework. There are several complaints about them. It appears these are two greedy entities working together. The issue with Corporate America Family Credit Union is; I lost my job and have fallen behind in payments. They call 4 and 5 times per week. Usually it's just an automated message telling me to call them. Occassionally it's a real person. More than once, I have called and spoken to someone, informing them that I have no income and cannot make payment, only to be called within the next few days by another person asking for money. They have told me that it was recorded that I had spoken to someone, yet they continue to call and ask if I can make a payment, when I had just informed them days prior that I could not. The most recent encounter is what prompted me to file this complaint. On Oct. 12, I was finally able to send a payment. I called to let them know that I had done so with the hope that I might be able to go a week without getting their repeated phone calls. No such luck. The calls are still almost daily. Upon speaking to one of the rep's I was told I should call to verify that the payment had been received. I called a week later (Oct. 19) to see if they had gotten the payment, and was told they had not. Another rep called me the following day (Oct. 20) and when I asked, was told they had not received the payment yet. After receiving another of their automated calls Oct. 23, I called back to see if they had received my payment yet. This time I was told the payment was posted on Oct. 16. I suspect the people I had talked to on the 19th and 20th, were aware the payment had posted, but were not telling me in an effort to get me to give them another payment over the phone, by threatening me with turning the account over to collections. From now on, if I mail a payment, it will be registered mail so I will have proof that I've been lied to. Report Your Experience
