Conseco - Loan Assignment |
|||||||
|
My wife and I just found out through the news media that Conseco/Greentree, one of them was sold to the other. We weren't duly contacted by either firm about the change. We don't know anything and no one is talking! I make the monthly mortgage ok but who has our contract? Shouldn't we have been notified of a change and how are we to know of a legal change of policy? How are we affected by this change and will the company's change relate to higher payments that we may not agree with? There doesn't seem to be anything legal lately! Conseco bought Greentree (to its never-ending regret). If Larry reads his mortgage agreement, he will find there is an assignment clause that lets the company sell or otherwise assign his loan. Loans are bought and sold all the time. It should have no effect on Larry's payment schedule or anything else. Report Your Experience
