Citizens Bank, Michigan

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I've dealt with this bank because the company I work for pays their workers' pay row with this bank. Anyway, on Saturday, 10-23-10, I was in drive though trying to cash my pay check. The teller sends my check back and says I can't cash your check and you will have to talk to the manager. She won't tell me if there is a problem with the check or my account, she's just plane rude like I'm a peace of trash. I have had a problem with this drive through before. I was in drive through and sent my things through and waited 5 minutes as the cars in the other line came and gone.

When I went in to the manager's office, he said the bank has a check on this account since I have asked. The Citizens Bank is where my company does their banking. They said that is not true. So when the teller sent my check back and cashed with no explanation, I figured it was her way of giving me a hard time. I felt below human. I was hurt. I have had problem with this drive through before. I had a family that depends on me and I let them down. I was hurt and let down by my town bank.

I have been told by the branch manager at Citizens Bank that they no longer want me as a customer. They are closing our business/personal and our three minor sons savings accounts. I am still in shock over hearing from a bank that they DON'T want our business. Apparently I make too many mistakes and cause fees to my account. Which I of course have to pay so why they want to get rid of me is mind boggling.

How can a public bank demand a customer close they're accounts. I even had a teller steal $1,500.00 cash from our checking account and I still kept our accounts open. Some thought I was crazy to stay at the bank but I liked the tellers and we live in a very small town and it's convenient. There has to be some kind of law or something that says the public has a right to bank where they want don't they??? I hope somebody reads this and can answer.
