Citibank's Cards Mysteriously Shut Down

Helen of Henderson, NV December 4, 2008

Helen of Henderson NV (12/04/08)
On 12/4/08 at approx 11.15am I approached the above named teller to cash a 150.00 check issued to me. I was not greeted, just told to approach her. I am not a customer at Citibank. 2 forms of ID was demanded - the second had to be a Visa or Mastercard. with my drivers licence and my credit card in her possesion, she took an awfully long time checking my ID. When I queried this I was told it was because I'm not a customer. She could have been stealing my id for all I know. I was then made to dip my finger in ink and put it on the check for further ID.

After all this the teller eventually SLAPPED the cash on the desk with the comment: There you are. Excuse me? No thank you? Nothing but surliness and rudeness? When I pointed this out to her she loudly told me I was rude! Is this how Citibank operates? Especially after my tax dollars have been used to bail them out and keep them in work? This teller was disgusting, thinking she is superior in some way. Perhaps she should be laid off and / or my tax portion should be returned.

I called the manager, but told she was busy on another call. I left a message for her describing the event that had just taken place, left my phone number for her, but she has not returned my call. I am happy I am not a client at Citibank!

citi bank decreased my line of credit from 10,000 to 1,000 because i withdrew my home loan application and they took back the 7,000 credit card and stopped me from using their atm machine.

i believe that this could lower my excellent credit score and stop me from getting a home loan or at a good interest rate.please help me

Jesse of Safford, AZ December 3, 2008

Jesse of Safford AZ (12/03/08)
I have not received a bill on my home depot account since July 2008. I didn't realize this until yesterday when I received a letter from an attorney demanding payment on this account. I was not contacted one time by home depot or citi bank in the mean time via mail or phone. They had my correct contact information. I think they did this to demand payment in one lump sum with all of the problems the banks are having. a demand for lump sum payment or law suit

I also have had many problems with Citibank and they need to be sued. a class action law suit needs to be brought by many people. We the people need to do this it is vital. Together we can fight the giant which preys on the innocent. If they are not sued they will continue this action. Call your local congressman, senators, and lawmakers. Remember if enough people will stop these banks from unfair and illegal practices you have a great chance to stop them.

Richard of Solana Beach, CA November 25, 2008

Richard of Solana Beach CA (11/25/08)
I have been receiving automated calls from Citibank saying I have a problem with my account and should call 1-880-. First, I have no way of knowing that this call is from Citibank. Secondly I was asked for either my credit card number or my social security number. If Citibank is behind this they ought to be ashamed because it is a natural setup for an identity thief. I could easily secure an 800 number and do the same thing and capture many CB credit card numbers.

Two years ago my credit card record was among 30,000 Citibank records that were lost or stolen. I can't believe [their] lack of attention to potential fraud. Please inform me of the dispostion of this complaint.
